«28»- كِتَابُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ الْجُعْفِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عليه السلام قَالَ: إِنَّ الْحِكْمَةَ لَتَكُونُ فِي قَلْبِ الْمُنَافِقِ فَتَجَلْجَلُ فِي صَدْرِهِ حَتَّى يُخْرِجَهَا فَيُوعِيَهَا الْمُؤْمِنُ وَ تَكُونُ كَلِمَةُ الْمُنَافِقِ فِي صَدْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِ فَتَجَلْجَلُ فِي صَدْرِهِ حَتَّى يُخْرِجَهَا فَيَعِيَهَا الْمُنَافِقُ.

Kitab Ja'far b. Muhammad b. Shurayh: Jabir al-Ju'fi related from Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, that he said: A word of wisdom sinks into the heart of the hypocrite and stirs there until he brings it out, and the believer takes it up. And the hypocrite's word sinks into the breast of the believer and stirs there until he brings it out, and the hypocrite takes it.

«29»- وَ مِنْهُ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عليه السلام قَالَ: إِنَّ رَجُلًا دَخَلَ عَلَى أَبِي عليه السلام فَقَالَ إِنَّكُمْ أَهْلُ بَيْتِ رَحْمَةٍ اخْتَصَّكُمُ اللَّهُ بِذَلِكَ قَالَ نَحْنُ كَذَلِكَ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ لَمْ نُدْخِلْ أَحَداً فِي ضَلَالَةٍ وَ لَمْ نُخْرِجْ أَحَداً مِنْ بَابِ هُدًى نَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ أَنْ نُضِلَّ أَحَداً.

With the chain above it is related from Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, that he said: A man came in to my father, peace be upon him, and said: You are the People of the House of mercy, which God has made your own. The Imam said: We are indeed so; praise be to God that we have led no one astray and have driven no one out of guidance. God forbid that we should lead anyone astray.

«30»- ف، تحف العقول عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الثَّانِي عليه السلام قَالَ: مَنْ أَصْغَى إِلَى نَاطِقٍ فَقَدْ عَبَدَهُ فَإِنْ كَانَ النَّاطِقُ عَنِ اللَّهِ فَقَدْ عَبَدَ اللَّهَ وَ إِنْ كَانَ النَّاطِقُ يَنْطِقُ عَنْ لِسَانِ إِبْلِيسَ فَقَدْ عَبَدَ إِبْلِيسَ.

Tuhaf al-'Uqul: Imam al-Jawad, peace be upon him, said: Whoever listens attentively to a speaker has worshipped him; so if that speaker speaks from God, he has worshipped God, and if the speaker speaks with the tongue of Iblis, he has worshipped Satan.

«31»- سن، المحاسن ابْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عليه السلام قَالَ: أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عِنْدَ أَحَدٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ حَقٌّ وَ لَا صَوَابٌ إِلَّا شَيْ ءٌ أَخَذُوهُ مِنَّا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَ لَا أَحَدٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ يَقْضِي بِحَقٍّ وَ عَدْلٍ وَ صَوَابٍ إِلَّا مِفْتَاحُ ذَلِكَ الْقَضَاءِ وَ بَابُهُ وَ أَوَّلُهُ وَ سَبَبُهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عليهما السلام فَإِذَا اشْتَبَهَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأُمُورُ كَانَ الْخَطَأُ مِنْ قِبَلِهِمْ إِذَا أَخْطَئُوا وَ الصَّوَابُ مِنْ قِبَلِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عليهما السلام.

Al-Mahasin: Muhammad b. Muslim relates from Imam al-Baqir, peace be upon him, that he said: Know well: truth and the right way are with no one unless they have taken it from us, the People of the House. Whoever judges according to truth, justice and the reality of the matter — the key of that judgement and its door is with 'Ali, peace be upon him, and he is the cause of judging by the truth and its forerunner. When matters become confused for people, the error and the mistake are from themselves and the truth is from 'Ali, peace be upon him.

«32»- ير، بصائر الدرجات ابْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ عَنْ فُضَيْلٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ عليه السلام يَقُولُ كُلُّ مَا لَمْ يَخْرُجْ مِنْ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ فَهُوَ بَاطِلٌ.

Basa'ir al-Darajat: Fudayl says: I heard Imam al-Baqir, peace be upon him, saying: Every knowledge that does not come forth from us, the People of the House, is false.

«33»- ير، بصائر الدرجات أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْأَهْوَازِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ الْمُفَضَّلِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عليه السلام قَالَ: إِنَّا أَهْلُ بَيْتٍ مِنْ عِلْمِ اللَّهِ عَلِمْنَا وَ مِنْ حُكْمِهِ أَخَذْنَا وَ مِنْ قَوْلِ الصَّادِقِ سَمِعْنَا فَإِنْ تَتَّبِعُونَا تَهْتَدُوا.

Basa'ir al-Darajat: Jabir related from Imam al-Baqir, peace be upon him, that he said: We, the People of the House, learned knowledge from the knowledge of God and took from the wisdom of God and heard from the speech of the Truthful One; so if you follow us you will be guided.

«34»- ير، بصائر الدرجات أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ عَنِ الْبَزَنْطِيِّ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ: كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عليه السلام فَقَالَ لِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ سَلْهُ عَنْ قَوْلِ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عليه السلام سَلُونِي عَمَّا شِئْتُمْ وَ لَا تَسْأَلُونَنِي عَنْ شَيْ ءٍ إِلَّا أَنْبَأْتُكُمْ بِهِ قَالَ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ عِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ شَيْ ءٍ إِلَّا خَرَجَ مِنْ عِنْدِ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عليه السلام فَلْيَذْهَبِ النَّاسُ حَيْثُ شَاءُوا فَوَ اللَّهِ لَيَأْتِيَنَّ الْأَمْرُ هَاهُنَا وَ أَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَی صَدْرِهِ.

Basa'ir al-Darajat: Zurara says: I was sitting with Imam al-Baqir, peace be upon him, when a man of the people of Kufa said to me: Ask him the meaning of the words of the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him: "Ask me of whatever you will; you will ask about nothing but that I will tell you of it." So I asked him. He said: There is no knowledge with anyone unless it has come forth from the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him. Let people go wherever they will; by God, knowledge comes here — and he pointed to his blessed breast.
