You have done something that won you the love of God, and of the Prophet, and of his pure successors, and of the nearest angels, and of your believing brothers; and the share you have gained is equal to all the people of faith and unbelief, and more than a thousand times the world. May this great blessing be sweet and pleasant to you!

The Commentary of Imam al-Hasan al-'Askari, peace be upon him: Imam al-Husayn, peace be upon him, said to a man: Which of the two is dearer to you? A man intends to kill a helpless wretch — that you should rescue this wretch from the killer's hand; or an enemy of the Household, peace be upon them, who seeks to lead astray the helpless among my Shi'a — that you should silence him, break that Nasibi with the proof of God, exalted, and relieve the difficulty of that helpless Shi'i? The questioner said: Rescuing this helpless believer from the hand of that Nasibi and breaking his argument — for God said in the Qur'an: "and whoever gives life to one, it is as though he gave life to all mankind." One who guides people from error and leads them from unbelief to faith is as though he had given life to all people after they had been slain with iron swords.

By "ihya'" (giving life) in the first instance is meant guidance from error, and by "ihya'" in the second, rescue from being killed. "Min qibal" means: in return for their being slain with iron swords; and it may also be read "qabl".

The Commentary of Imam al-Hasan al-'Askari, peace be upon him: Imam al-Hasan al-'Askari, peace be upon him, said: Imam Zayn al-'Abidin, peace be upon him, said to a man: Which of these two is dearer to you — a friend who gives you a purse of dinars, or a friend who helps you whenever he sees you in Satan's hunting-ground, who shows you the snares of Satan and teaches you that by which you may undo Satan's guile and deceit, so that you may break the devils' nets and cut their cords? He said: Rather the friend who, whenever he sees me, teaches me how to abase Satan and drive him from me. The Imam said: Which is dearer to you — to rescue a wretched captive from the hands of unbelievers, or to rescue a wretch from the hands of a Nasibi and the enemies of the pure Imams, peace be upon them? He said: O son of the Messenger of God, ask God to grant me success in answering the Nasibi rightly. The Imam, peace be upon him, prayed: May God grant him success. Then he said: But to rescue a wretched captive from the hand of a Nasibi — which brings about my entry into the Garden and his deliverance from the Fire — is better. God will recompense this wronged one many times over for the injustice the Nasibi did him, and will take vengeance on the wrongdoer, for God is just in His judgement and takes vengeance for the wronged upon the oppressor. He said: May God reward your father well. In drawing speech from my breast you have left out not one letter of what the Messenger of God — may God bless him and his family — had said.

Imam al-Baqir, peace be upon him, was asked: Is rescuing a believing captive from among those who love us

So it stands in the copies, and the correct reading is apparently "muhibbikum" (those who love you).
