الجمع راجع إلى العامة أو كلام المؤلف أو الرواة فيحتمل إرجاعه إلى أهل البيت عليهم السلام أيضا.

«59»- كِتَابُ النَّوَادِرِ، لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عليه السلام حَمِّلْنِي حَمْلَ الْبَاذِلِ قَالَ فَقَالَ لِي إِذًا تَنْفَسِخَ.

Kitab al-Nawadir: Abu Basir said: I said to Imam al-Baqir, peace be upon him: A heavy load of knowledge rests on our shoulders. And he said to me: If only you had the strength for it!

بيان: حمل الباذل أي حملا ثقيلا من العلم إذا تنفسخ أي لا تطيق حمله و تهلك.

Elucidation: That is, you do not have the strength for the heavy load and you would perish.

«60»- نی، الغيبة للنعماني ابْنُ عُقْدَةَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ عَنْ عُبَيْسِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جَبَلَةَ عَنْ مَعْرُوفِ بْنِ خَرَّبُوذَ ١ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ عَامِرِ بْنِ وَاثِلَةَ قَالَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عليه السلام أَ تُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يُكَذَّبَ اللَّهُ وَ رَسُولُهُ حَدِّثُوا النَّاسَ بِمَا يَعْرِفُونَ وَ أَمْسِكُوا عَمَّا يُنْكِرُونَ.

Al-Ghayba of al-Nu'mani: Abu al-Tufayl said: The Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, said: Do you wish that God and His Messenger be denied? Speak to people of our words according to what they recognise, and refrain from relating what they will not believe.

«61»- نی، الغيبة للنعماني الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ خَلَفٍ الْبَزَّازِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ هَارُونَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى اللّٰه عليه و آله يَقُولُ لَا تُحَدِّثُوا النَّاسَ بِمَا لَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَ تُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يُكَذَّبَ اللَّهُ وَ رَسُولُهُ.

Al-Ghayba of al-Nu'mani: Anas b. Malik said: I heard the Messenger of God — may God bless him and his family — saying: Do not speak to people about what they are not acquainted with. Do you wish that God and His Messenger be called liars?

«62»- نی، الغيبة للنعماني ابْنُ عُقْدَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ الْبَطَائِنِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ: قَالَ لِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عليهما السلام يَا عَبْدَ الْأَعْلَى إِنَّ احْتِمَالَ أَمْرِنَا لَيْسَ مَعْرِفَتَهُ وَ قَبُولَهُ إِنَّ احْتِمَالَ أَمْرِنَا هُوَ صَوْنُهُ وَ سترته [سَتْرُهُ عَمَّنْ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ فَأَقْرِئْهُمُ السَّلَامَ وَ رَحْمَةَ اللَّهِ يَعْنِی الشِّيعَةَ وَ قُلْ قَالَ لَكُمْ رَحِمَ اللَّهُ عَبْداً اسْتَجَرَّ مَوَدَّةَ النَّاسِ إِلَى نَفْسِهِ وَ إِلَيْنَا بِأَنْ يُظْهِرَ لَهُمْ مَا يَعْرِفُونَ وَ يَكُفَّ عَنْهُمْ مَا يُنْكِرُونَ ٢.

Al-Ghayba of al-Nu'mani: 'Abd al-A'la b. A'yan said: Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, said to me: O 'Abd al-A'la, to carry our walaya and stand firm in it is not merely to know of it and accept it; rather, to carry it is to guard it and keep it hidden from one who is a stranger to it. So convey our greeting and God's mercy to them (the Shi'a) and say: He has said to you: May God have mercy on one who draws people's love to himself and to us, by speaking of what people are acquainted with and refraining from declaring what they will not believe.

«63»- نی، الغيبة للنعماني ابْنُ عُقْدَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عليهما السلام أَنَّهُ قَالَ: لَيْسَ هَذَا الْأَمْرُ مَعْرِفَتَهُ وَ وَلَايَتَهُ فَقَطْ حَتَّى تَسْتُرَهُ عَمَّنْ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ وَ بِحَسْبِكُمْ أَنْ تَقُولُوا مَا قُلْنَا وَ تَصْمُتُوا عَمَّا صَمَتْنَا فَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا قُلْتُمْ مَا نَقُولُ وَ سَلَّمْتُمْ لَنَا فِيمَا سَكَتْنَا عَنْهُ

Al-Ghayba of al-Nu'mani: 'Abd al-A'la b. A'yan related from Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, that he said: Our walaya is not merely to know it and to love it, unless you keep it hidden from one who is a stranger to it; and it is enough for you to say what we have said and to hold your tongue about what we have kept silent on. If you say only what we have said and submit regarding what we have kept silent on,
