Al-Tanzil: "Have they not seen that We drive the rain to the barren land and bring forth thereby a crop of which their cattle and they themselves eat? Do they not then see?"

"Certainly for you there is in [following] the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his family, a goodly example: for whoever hopes in God and the Last Day and remembers God abundantly."

"And the dead earth is a proof for them, which We brought to life and brought forth grain from it, of which they eat. And We placed in that [earth] gardens of date palms and vines and caused springs to flow in it, that they may eat of its fruit and of what their own hands have made. Will they not then give thanks?" "Have they not seen that We have created for them by Our power cattle, so that they are their owners? And We made them subservient to them: of some of them they take riding, and of some they eat. And from them they have benefits and drinks. Why then are they not thankful?"

"God is He who made the sea subservient to you, that the ships may run upon it by His command and that you may seek [your provision] of His bounty, and that you may give thanks. And He made subservient to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, all of it from Him. Truly in this [matter] are signs for a people who reflect."

"That no bearer of burdens bears the burden of another; and that man shall have nothing but the fruit of his own striving."

الرحمن: «وَ الْأَرْضَ وَضَعَها لِلْأَنامِ (إلى آخر الآيات)»(10)

"The Merciful taught the Qur'an. He created man and taught him clear expression. The sun and the moon run by a reckoning. And the plants and the trees bow down. And He raised up the sky and set the balance, that you may not transgress in the measure. And establish the weighing with justice, and do not fall short in the scale. And the earth He laid out for mankind. In it are fruits and palm trees with sheathed clusters, and husked grain and fragrant plants. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? He created man from dry clay like earthenware, and created the jinn from a flame of fire. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? He set the two seas flowing [in such a way] that they meet. Between them is a barrier which they do not transgress. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? From both of them come forth pearls and coral. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? And His are the ships with lofty sails on the sea, like mountains. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? All that is upon [the earth] shall perish, and there shall remain the Face of your Lord, full of majesty and honour. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? Whoever is in the heavens and the earth asks of Him. Every moment He is upon some task. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? O jinn and men, We shall soon attend to you. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? O company of jinn and men, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass beyond. [But] you will not pass beyond except by [gaining] an authority. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? There shall be sent down upon you sparks of [molten] iron and brass, and you will not be able to seek help [from anyone]. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? Then when the sky is split open and becomes like red leather. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? On that day neither man nor jinn will be asked about his sin. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? The evildoers will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? This is the very Hell that the evildoers used to call a lie. They will go about between [the fire] and boiling water. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? And for whoever fears the station of his Lord there are two gardens. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? Having spreading branches. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? In those two [gardens] are two flowing springs. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? In those two [gardens] are two kinds of every fruit. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? They will recline upon couches lined with thick brocade, and the gathering of the fruit of those two gardens is [easily] within reach. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? In them are [beloved ones] of modest gaze, whom no man or jinn has touched before them. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? As though they were rubies and coral. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? Is the recompense of goodness anything but goodness? So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? And besides those two [gardens] there are two [more] gardens. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? Dark green from [the intensity of] their greenness. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? In those two [gardens] are two gushing springs. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? In them are fruit and date palms and pomegranates. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? In them are [women] of goodly character and goodly countenance. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? Houris secluded in [the midst of] pavilions. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? Whom no man or jinn has touched before them. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? Reclining upon green cushions and fine carpets. So which of your Lord's favours do you deny? Blessed be the name of your Lord, full of majesty and honour!"

Al-Muddaththir: "In gardens, they ask one another about the guilty: 'What brought you into the Fire [Saqar]?' They say: 'We were not of those who prayed.'"
