«4»- ير، بصائر الدرجات مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنِ النَّضْرِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ يَحْيَى قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عليه السلام يَقُولُ إِنَّا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ عِنْدَنَا مَعَاقِلُ الْعِلْمِ وَ آثَارُ النُّبُوَّةِ وَ عِلْمُ الْكِتَابِ وَ فَصْلُ مَا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ.

Basa'ir al-Darajat: Al-Hasan b. Yahya says: I heard Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, say: The firm fortress of knowledge, the traces of prophethood, the knowledge of the Book and the distinguishing of truth from falsehood are with us, the People of the House, peace be upon them.

«5»- ير، بصائر الدرجات مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُؤْمِنِ عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْكَانَ وَ أَبِي خَالِدٍ وَ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْخَزَّازِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ عليه السلام إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى اللّٰه عليه و آله أَنَالَ فِي النَّاسِ وَ أَنَالَ وَ عِنْدَنَا عُرَی الْأَمْرِ وَ أَبْوَابُ الحِكْمَةِ وَ مَعَاقِلُ الْعِلْمِ وَ ضِيَاءُ الْأَمْرِ وَ أَوَاخِيهِ فَمَنْ عَرَفَنَا نَفَعَتْهُ مَعْرِفَتُهُ وَ قُبِلَ مِنْهُ عَمَلُهُ وَ مَنْ لَمْ يَعْرِفْنَا لَمْ تَنْفَعْهُ مَعْرِفَتُهُ وَ لَمْ يُقْبَلْ مِنْهُ عَمَلُهُ ١

Basa'ir al-Darajat: Muhammad b. Muslim says: Imam al-Baqir, peace be upon him, said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and his family, gave people much knowledge; but the gates of wisdom, the firm fortress of knowledge and the light of affairs are with us, and in these matters one must hold fast to our firm rope. The acceptance of people's knowledge and understanding depends upon knowing us, and without it knowledge is of no profit and deeds are not accepted.

«6»- ير، بصائر الدرجات مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عليه السلام إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى اللّٰه عليه و آله قَدْ أَنَالَ وَ أَنَالَ وَ أَنَالَ يُشِيرُ كَذَا وَ كَذَا وَ عِنْدَنَا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ أُصُولُ الْعِلْمِ وَ عُرَاهُ وَ ضِيَاؤُهُ وَ أَوَاخِيهِ.

Basa'ir al-Darajat: Muhammad b. Muslim said: Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and his family, gave people much knowledge… Then he pointed to certain things and continued: The roots, the light and the ring of knowledge are with us.

«7»- ير، بصائر الدرجات مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنِ الثُّمَالِيِّ قَالَ: خَطَبَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عليه السلام بِالنَّاسِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَى مُحَمَّداً صلى اللّٰه عليه و آله بِالرِّسَالَةِ وَ أَنْبَأَهُ بِالْوَصِيِّ وَ أَنَالَ فِي النَّاسِ وَ أَنَالَ وَ فِينَا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ مَعَاقِلُ الْعِلْمِ وَ أَبْوَابُ الحِكْمَةِ وَ ضِيَاؤُهُ وَ ضِيَاءُ الْأَمْرِ فَمَنْ يُحِبَّنَا مِنْكُمْ نَفَعَهُ إِيمَانُهُ وَ يُقْبَلُ عَمَلُهُ ٢ وَ مَنْ لَمْ يُحِبَّنَا مِنْكُمْ لَمْ يَنْفَعْهُ إِيمَانُهُ وَ لَا يُتَقَبَّلُ عَمَلُهُ.

Basa'ir al-Darajat: Al-Thumali says: 'Ali, peace be upon him, said in his sermon: God chose Muhammad, may God bless him and his family, for the messengership, and mentioned also the matter of the succession; and He gave people much knowledge, but the fortresses of knowledge, the gates of wisdom and the light of affairs are among us. The acceptance of people's faith and deeds depends upon love for us; otherwise it is not accepted.

«8»- ير، بصائر الدرجات ابْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عليه السلام إِنَّا نَجِدُ الشَّيْ ءَ مِنْ أَحَادِيثِنَا فِي أَيْدِي النَّاسِ قَالَ فَقَالَ لِي لَعَلَّكَ لَا تَرَى أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى اللّٰه عليه و آله أَنَالَ وَ أَنَالَ ثُمَّ أَوْمَأَ بِيَدِهِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ وَ

Basa'ir al-Darajat: Muhammad b. Muslim says: I said to Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him: There are reports from us in the hands of the Sunni people. He said: Perhaps you do not know that the Prophet gave people much knowledge — and then he pointed with his hand to the four quarters
