Amali of al-Saduq: 'Abd al-'Azim al-Hasani related from Imam al-Hadi, from his forefathers, from 'Ali, peace be upon him, that when God spoke to Moses, Moses said: My God, what is the reward of one who calls an unbeliever to Islam? God said: O Moses, on the Day of Resurrection I shall grant him leave to intercede for whomever he wishes.

I say: the hadith will come in full.

Tafsir al-Qummi: 'Abd al-'Azim, by his own chain, related from Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, concerning the verse "Say to those who believe that they forgive those who do not look for the days of God": He said: It means that those upon whom We have bestowed the knowledge of us should make it known to those who do not know; and when they have made it known to them, they have indeed been forgiven.

Qurb al-Isnad: Ibn Sadaqa related from Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, from his forefathers, that the Messenger of God — may God bless him and his family — said: Three will intercede with God on the Day of Resurrection and their intercession will be accepted: first, the prophets; second, the scholars; third, the martyrs.

"Fa-yushaffi'uhum" is of the form taf'il, that is: God accepts their intercession.

Al-Khisal: O 'Ali, three things are of the reality of faith: generosity in straitened circumstances, giving people their due against oneself, and teaching knowledge to the student.

Elucidation: "al-iqtar" is straitness in livelihood and means of life.

Al-Khisal: Three qualities God, mighty and exalted, never joins in a hypocrite or a transgressor. 'Abbad b. Suhayb said: I heard the sixth Imam say: God never joins in a hypocrite or a transgressor a goodly bearing, understanding in religion, and fair character.

'Uyun Akhbar al-Rida, peace be upon him: The Messenger of God — may God bless him and his family — said: Whoever makes his understanding of religion good shall have a good deed recorded for him.

What is meant is that the gaining of the good deed is conditional upon making one's religious understanding good; or that making one's religious understanding good in every question brings a complete good deed.
