نحاس ، وسقاء من أدم ، وقعب 4 للبن ، وشن للماء ، ومطهرة مزفتة ، وجرة خضراء ، وكيزان خزف حتى إذا استكمل الشراء حمل أبو بكر بعض المتاع وحمل أصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله الذين كانوا معه الباقي ، فلما عرض المتاع على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله جعل يقلبه بيده ويقول : بارك الله لأهل البيت .
copper, and a waterskin of hide, and a wooden bowl [4] for milk, and a skin for water, and a pitch-lined vessel for purification, and a green jar, and cups of earthenware. When the purchasing was complete, Abu Bakr carried some of the goods, and the companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, who were with him carried the rest. When the goods were shown to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, he began to turn them over with his hand, saying: God bless it for the People of the House.
قال علي عليه السلام : فأقمت بعد ذلك شهرا أصلي مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وأرجع إلى منزلي ولا أذكر شيئا من أمر فاطمة عليها السلام ، ثم قلن أزواج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله ألا نطلب لك من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله دخول فاطمة عليها السلام عليك ، فقلت : إفعلن فدخلن عليه صلى الله عليه وآله فقالت أم أيمن : يا رسول الله لو أن خديجة باقية لقرت عينها بزفاف فاطمة .
'Ali, peace be upon him, said: After that I remained a month, praying with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, and returning to my dwelling, and mentioning nothing of the matter of Fatima, peace be upon her. Then the wives of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, said: Shall we not ask the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, for you, that Fatima, peace be upon her, may come in to you? I said: Do so. So they came in to him, may God bless him and his Family, and Umm Ayman said: O Messenger of God, were Khadija still living, her eye would have been gladdened by the wedding of Fatima.
وأن عليا يريد أهله ، فقر عين فاطمة ببعلها وأجمع شملها ، وقر عيوننا بذلك فقال : ما بال علي لا يطلب منى زوجته ، فقد كنا نتوقع ذلك منه قال علي عليه السلام : فقلت الحياء يمنعني يا رسول الله .
And 'Ali desires his wife; so gladden the eye of Fatima with her husband, and gather her household together, and gladden our eyes by it. He said: What ails 'Ali, that he does not ask me for his wife? We have been expecting that of him. 'Ali, peace be upon him, said: I said: Shyness prevents me, O Messenger of God.
فالتفت إلى النساء فقال : من هيهنا ، فقالت أم سلمة : أنا أم سلمة : وهذه زينب وهذه فلانة وفلانة ، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله : هيئن لابنتي وابن عمي في حجري بيتا ، فقالت أم سلمة : في أي حجرة يا رسول الله ؟
So he turned to the women and said: Who is here? Umm Salama said: I am Umm Salama, and this is Zaynab, and this is such a one and such a one. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, said: Make ready for my daughter and the son of my uncle a room in my own quarters. Umm Salama said: In which chamber, O Messenger of God?
فقال رسول الله ، صلى الله عليه وآله في حجرتك ، وأمر نسائه أن يزين ويصلحن من شأنها .
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, said: In your chamber. And he commanded his wives to adorn her and to set her affairs in order.
قالت أم سلمة : فسألت فاطمة هل عندك طيب ادخرتيه لنفسك ؟
Umm Salama said: I asked Fatima: Have you any perfume that you have stored up for yourself?
قالت : نعم ، فأتت بقارورة فسكبت منها في راحتي ، فشممت منها رائحة ما شممت مثلها قط ، فقلت : ما هذا ؟
She said: Yes. And she brought a flask and poured from it into my palm, and I smelled from it a scent the like of which I had never smelled. I said: What is this?
فقالت : كان يدخل دحية الكلبي على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله فيقول لي : يا فاطمة هات الوسادة فاطرحيها لعمك ، فأطرح له الوسادة فيجلس عليها ، فإذا نهض سقط من بين ثيابه شئ فيأمرني بجمعه ، فسئل علي عليه السلام رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله عن ذلك ؟ فقال هو عنبر يسقط من أجنحة جبرئيل .
She said: Dihya al-Kalbi used to come in to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, and he would say to me: O Fatima, bring the cushion and lay it down for your uncle. So I would lay the cushion for him, and he would sit upon it; and when he rose, something would fall from among his clothes, and he would order me to gather it. 'Ali, peace be upon him, asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, about that, and he said: It is ambergris that falls from the wings of Gabriel.
