In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. Praise belongs to God, before whom the necks of tyrants are humbled and to whom the necks of the Chosroes bow. And may God bless the noblest of His creation and the most excellent of His creatures, Abu al-Qasim al-Mustafa Muhammad, and the People of his House, the good, the pure, the infallible — and above all the Remnant of God in the earths, al-Hujja b. al-Hasan al-'Askari, may God hasten his noble relief.

And may the curse rest upon their enemies, their opponents, those who defy them, those who usurped their rights, those who deny their virtues and their merits, and all who lay claim to their stations and their ranks — from now until the Day of Judgement arrives. Amen, Lord of the Worlds.

The eminence of the author: he is al-'Allama al-Hajj al-Shaykh 'Abbas b. Muhammad Rida b. Abi al-Qasim al-Qummi. His eminence and his renown among the elite and the common people alike — for knowledge and practice, for asceticism and scrupulousness, for love of the People of the House of Revelation, upon whom be the most excellent blessings of those who bless, for his abundant narration from them, for his pride in walking their path, for his proclaiming of their virtues, and for his sincerity in most of his affairs and in all of his deeds — is too manifest to be uttered and too well known to be written down. And how should it be otherwise?
