ولما كان الكتاب في طبعته القديمة والجديدة وقعت فيه أخطاء كثيرة فقد قابلت أحاديثه على مصادرها الأصلية أو على الموسوعات الكبيرة الحديثية والتأريخية ، فما كان من اختلاف في اللفظ زيادة أو نقصا أشرت إليه في الهامش ، وجعلت بعضها بين الهلالين [ ] وأشرت إلى معاني الألفاظ الصعبة أخذا من كتاب البحار للعلامة المجلسي ره وغيره من الأعلام .

Since the book, in both its old and its new printing, contained many errors, I collated its hadiths against their original sources, or against the large hadith and historical encyclopaedias. Wherever there was a difference in wording — an addition or an omission — I noted it in the margin, and placed some of it between brackets [ ]. I have also explained the meanings of difficult words, drawing on the Bihar of al-'Allama al-Majlisi, may God have mercy on him, and on other eminent scholars.

ثم أرجو من العلماء الناظرين في الكتاب أو يتفضلوا علي بالتصحيح والنقد الصحيح فيما وقع نادرا من الزلل والخطأ .

I ask the scholars who examine this book to favour me with correction and sound criticism wherever a slip or an error has, on rare occasion, occurred.

وختاما أقدم بالشكر الجزيل والثناء الوافر لسماحة حجة الإسلام والمسلمين الشيخ مصطفى الهرندي لما بذله من لطف جسيم في مراجعة هذا الكتاب القيم واستخراج مصادره حيث قدم لنا وبكل إخلاص ما أنجزه من أعمال على هذا السفر القيم - قبل شروعنا - فلله دره وعليه أجره .
