يوم القيامة 10 . كفنها وغسلها عليها السلام ليلا قال الراوي : فصاحت أهل المدينة صيحة واحدة واجتمعت نساء بني هاشم في دارها فصرخن صرخة واحدة كادت المدينة أن تتزعزع لصراخهن وهن يقلن : يا سيدتاه يا بنت رسول الله وأقبل الناس مثل عرف الفرس إلى علي عليه السلام وهو جالس والحسن والحسين عليهما السلام بين يديه يبكيان ، فبكى الناس لبكائهما وخرجت أم كلثوم وعليها برقعة وتجر ذيلها متجللة بردائها عليها نشيجها [ تسبجها خ ] 11 وهي تقول : يا أبتاه يا رسول الله الآن حقا فقدناك فقدا ، لا لقاء بعده أبدا ، واجتمع الناس فجلسوا وهم يضجون وينتظرون أن تخرج الجنازة فيصلون عليها ، فخرج أبو ذر ( ره ) وقال : انصرفوا فإن ابنة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله قد أخر إخراجها في هذه العشية فقام الناس وانصرفوا فلما جن الليل غسلها أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام ولم يحضرها غيره والحسن والحسين وزينب وأم كلثوم عليهم السلام وفضة جاريتها وأسماء بنت عميس رحمة الله عليهما 12 .

the Day of Resurrection. [10] Her shrouding and her washing, peace be upon her, by night The narrator said: And the people of Medina cried out with one cry, and the women of the Banu Hashim gathered in her house and screamed with one scream at which Medina was near to being shaken, saying: O our mistress! O daughter of the Messenger of God! And the people came on like the mane of a horse to 'Ali, peace be upon him, and he was sitting with al-Hasan and al-Husayn, peace be upon them, before him, weeping; and the people wept at their weeping. And Umm Kulthum came out with a veil upon her, trailing her skirt, wrapped in her cloak, her sobbing upon her, [11] saying: O my father! O Messenger of God! Now in truth have we lost you, a loss after which there is no meeting ever. And the people gathered and sat, clamouring and waiting for the bier to come out that they might pray over her. So Abu Dharr, may God have mercy on him, came out and said: Disperse; for the bringing out of the daughter of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, has been put off this evening. So the people rose and dispersed. And when the night grew dark, the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, washed her, and none was present at her but he, and al-Hasan and al-Husayn and Zaynab and Umm Kulthum, peace be upon them, and Fidda her maidservant, and Asma' bint 'Umays, the mercy of God be upon them both. [12]

وقالت أسماء : أوصت إلى فاطمة عليها السلام أن لا يغسلها إذا ماتت إلا أنا وعلي عليه السلام ، فأعنت عليا على غسلها 13 .

And Asma' said: Fatima, peace be upon her, charged me that when she died none should wash her but I and 'Ali, peace be upon him; so I helped 'Ali in washing her. [13]

وروي أن أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام يقول حين غسل فاطمة عليها السلام : اللهم إنها أمتك وابنة رسولك وصفيك وخيرتك من خلقك ، اللهم لقنها حجتها وأعظم برهانها وأعل درجتها واجمع بينها وبين أبيها محمد صلى الله عليه

And it is related that the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, said when he washed Fatima, peace be upon her: O God, she is Your bondwoman and the daughter of Your Messenger and Your chosen one and Your elect from among Your creation. O God, prompt her with her proof and make great her evidence and raise her degree and join her with her father Muhammad, may God bless him
