فصل [ " إقامة الشهود لطلب حقها عليها السلام " ] عن الاختصاص ، عن عبد الله بن سنان ، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال : لما قبض رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وجلس أبو بكر مجلسه ، بعث أبو بكر إلى وكيل فاطمة عليها السلام فأخرجه من فدك ، فأتته فاطمة عليها السلام فقالت : يا أبا بكر ادعيت أنك خليفة أبي وجلست مجلسه ، وأنت بعثت إلى وكيلي فأخرجته من فدك وقد تعلم أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله صدق بها علي وأن لي بذلك شهودا ، فقال : إن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله لا يورث .

Section [“the producing of witnesses in the demand for her right, peace be upon her”]. From al-Ikhtisas, from 'Abd Allah b. Sinan, from Abu 'Abd Allah, peace be upon him, who said: When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, was taken, and Abu Bakr sat in his seat, Abu Bakr sent to the agent of Fatima, peace be upon her, and removed him from Fadak. So Fatima, peace be upon her, came to him and said: O Abu Bakr, you have claimed that you are the successor of my father and have sat in his seat; and you sent to my agent and removed him from Fadak, when you know that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, gave it to me as a charitable gift, and that I have witnesses to that. And he said: The Prophet, may God bless him and his Family, is not inherited from.

فرجعت إلى علي عليه السلام فأخبرته فقال : ارجعي إليه وقولي له : زعمت أن النبي لا يورث وورث سليمان داود ، وورث يحيى زكريا وكيف لا أرث أنا أبي فقال عمر : أنت معلمة قالت : وإن كنت معلمة فإنما علمني ابن عمي وبعلي فقال أبو بكر : فإن عائشة تشهد وعمر أنهما سمعا ! ! !

So she returned to 'Ali, peace be upon him, and told him; and he said: Go back to him and say to him: You claimed that the Prophet is not inherited from — yet Solomon inherited David, and Yahya inherited Zakariyya. And how is it that I do not inherit my father? So 'Umar said: You have been taught. She said: And if I have been taught, it is only my cousin and my husband who taught me. So Abu Bakr said: 'A'isha and 'Umar testify that they heard!!

رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وهو يقول النبي لا يورث ، فقالت : هذا أول شهادة زور شهدا بها في الإسلام .

the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, saying: The Prophet is not inherited from. And she said: This is the first false testimony they have borne in Islam.

ثم قالت : فإن فدك إنما صدق بها علي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله ولي بذلك بينة ، فقال لها : هلمي بينتك .

Then she said: Fadak — the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, gave it to me only as a charitable gift, and I have proof of that. And he said to her: Bring your proof.

قال : فجاءت بأم أيمن وعلي عليه السلام فقال أبو بكر : يا أم أيمن إنك سمعت من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله يقول في فاطمة ؟ فقالا : سمعنا رسول الله

He said: So she brought Umm Ayman and 'Ali, peace be upon him. And Abu Bakr said: O Umm Ayman, did you hear the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, say anything concerning Fatima? So the two of them said: We heard the Messenger of God,
