فصل [ إقبال فاطمة عليها السلام إلى قبر أبيها وما قالت ] قال صاحب كتاب علم اليقين ، نقلا من كتاب التهاب نيران الأحزان ما هذا لفظه : ثم إن عمر جمع جماعة من الطلقاء والمنافقين وأتى بهم إلى منزل أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام فوافوا بابه مغلق ، فصاحوا به : أخرج يا علي فإن خليفة رسول الله يدعوك فلم يفتح لهم الباب .

Section [Fatima's coming, peace be upon her, to her father's grave, and what she said]. The author of the book 'Ilm al-Yaqin said, quoting from the book Iltihab Niran al-Ahzan, in these words: Then 'Umar gathered a company of the freed captives and the hypocrites and brought them to the dwelling of the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him; and they found his door shut, and they shouted at him: Come out, O 'Ali, for the successor of the Messenger of God calls you. And he did not open the door to them.

فأتوه بحطب فوضعوه على الباب وجاؤا بالنار ليضرموه فصاح عمر وقال : والله لئن لم تفتحوا لنضرمنه بالنار ، فلما عرفت فاطمة عليها السلام إنهم يحرقون منزلها قامت وفتحت الباب ، فدفعوها القوم قبل أن تتوارى عنهم ، فاختبت فاطمة عليها السلام وراء الباب فدفعها عمر حتى ضغطها بين الباب والحايط ، ثم إنهم تواثبوا على أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام وهو جالس على فراشه ، واجتمعوا عليه حتى أخرجوه سحبا من داره ملببا بثوبه يجرونه إلى المسجد ، فحالت فاطمة عليها السلام بينهم وبين بعلها ، وقالت : والله لا أدعكم تجرون ابن عمي ظلما .

So they brought firewood and set it at the door and brought fire to kindle it; and 'Umar shouted and said: By God, if you do not open, we shall set it alight with fire. And when Fatima, peace be upon her, knew that they were burning her dwelling, she rose and opened the door; and the people pushed her before she could withdraw from them. And Fatima, peace be upon her, hid behind the door, and 'Umar pushed it until he crushed her between the door and the wall. Then they leapt upon the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, while he was sitting upon his bed, and gathered upon him until they brought him out of his house dragged along, seized by his garment at the throat, hauling him to the mosque. And Fatima, peace be upon her, came between them and her husband and said: By God, I shall not let you drag my cousin away wrongfully.

ويلكم ما أسرع ما خنتم الله ورسوله فينا أهل البيت ، وقد أوصاكم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله باتباعنا ومودتنا والتمسك بنا ، فقال الله تعالى : * ( قل لا أسئلكم عليه أجرا إلا المودة في القربى ) * قال : فتركه أكثر القوم لأجلها ، فأمر عمر قنفذا ابن عمه أن يضربها بسوطه فضربها قنفذ بالسوط على ظهرها وجنبيها إلى أن أنهكها

Woe to you! How swiftly have you betrayed God and His Messenger concerning us, the People of the House! And the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, charged you to follow us and to love us and to hold fast to us; and God, exalted, said: “Say: I ask of you no reward for it save love for my kindred.” He said: So most of the people let him be, for her sake. Then 'Umar ordered Qunfudh, his cousin, to strike her with his whip; and Qunfudh struck her with the whip upon her back and her sides until he had worn her down
