روي في الاحتجاج : إحتجاج الحسن بن علي عليهما السلام على معاوية وأصحابه في حديث طويل إنه قال لمغيرة بن شعبة في جواب إفترائه على أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام ووقوعه فيه سلام الله عليه : وأما أنت يا مغيرة بن شعبة فإنك لله عدو ولكتابه نابذ ولنبيه مكذب إلى أن قال له : وأنت ضربت بنت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله حتى أدميتها وألقت ما في بطنها استذلالا منك لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله ومخالفة منك لأمره وانتهاكا لحرمته وقد قال لها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله : " يا فاطمة أنت سيدة نساء أهل الجنة " والله مصيرك إلى النار وجاعل وبال ما نطقت به عليك 3 .

It is related in al-Ihtijaj: the argument of al-Hasan b. 'Ali, peace be upon them both, against Mu'awiya and his companions, in a long report — that he said to al-Mughira b. Shu'ba, in reply to his calumny against the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, and his reviling of him, the peace of God be upon him: As for you, O Mughira b. Shu'ba, you are an enemy to God, a caster-away of His Book, a denier of His Prophet — until he said to him: And you struck the daughter of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, until you made her bleed and she cast what was in her womb, in humiliation from you towards the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, and in opposition from you to his command, and in violation of his sanctity. And the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, had said to her: “O Fatima, you are the mistress of the women of the people of the Garden.” And by God, your destination is to the Fire, and He will make the evil consequence of what you have uttered fall upon you.
