فصل [ قصة بيت فاطمة عليها السلام وضربها وإلقاء جنينها ] قال العلامة المجلسي في البحار : وجدت في كتاب سليم بن قيس الهلالي برواية أبان بن أبي عياش عنه ، عن سلمان وعبد الله بن العباس ، قالا : توفي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله يوم توفي فلم يوضع في حفرته حتى نكث الناس وارتدوا ، واجتمعوا على الخلاف ، واشتغل علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام برسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله حتى فرغ من غسله وتكفينه وتحنيطه ووضعه في حفرته .

Section [the story of the house of Fatima, peace be upon her, and her being struck, and the casting of her unborn child]. The 'allama al-Majlisi said in the Bihar: I found in the book of Sulaym b. Qays al-Hilali, in the transmission of Aban b. Abi 'Ayyash from him, from Salman and 'Abd Allah b. al-'Abbas, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, died on the day he died, and he was not laid in his grave before the people broke faith and turned back and gathered upon opposition. And 'Ali b. Abi Talib, peace be upon him, was occupied with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, until he had finished washing him and shrouding him and embalming him and laying him in his grave.

ثم أقبل عليه السلام على تأليف القرآن ، وشغل عنهم بوصية رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله فقال عمر لأبي بكر : يا هذا إن الناس أجمعين قد بايعوك ما خلا هذا الرجل وأهل بيته وهؤلاء النفر فابعث إليه ، فبعث إليه ابن عم لعمر يقال له قنفذ فقال له : يا قنفذ انطلق إلى علي : فقل له : أجب خليفة رسول الله ، فبعثا مرارا وأبى علي عليه أن يأتيهم ، فوثب عمر غضبان ، ونادى خالد بن الوليد وقنفذا فأمرهما أن يحملا حطبا ونارا ، ثم أقبل حتى إنتهى إلى باب علي وفاطمة عليهما السلام ، وفاطمة عليها السلام قاعدة خلف الباب : قد عصبت رأسها ونحل جسمها في وفات رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله .

Then he turned, peace be upon him, to the composing of the Qur'an, and was kept from them by the charge of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family. So 'Umar said to Abu Bakr: You there — all the people have pledged to you except this man and his household and these few. So send to him. And he sent to him a cousin of 'Umar's called Qunfudh, and said to him: O Qunfudh, go to 'Ali and say to him: Answer the successor of the Messenger of God. And they sent repeatedly, and 'Ali refused to come to them. So 'Umar sprang up in anger and called Khalid b. al-Walid and Qunfudh and ordered them to carry firewood and fire. Then he came on until he reached the door of 'Ali and Fatima, peace be upon them; and Fatima, peace be upon her, was seated behind the door, her head bound up and her body wasted at the death of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family.

فأقبل عمر حتى ضرب الباب ، ثم نادى : يا ابن أبي طالب إفتح الباب فقالت فاطمة عليها السلام يا عمر ما لنا ولك لا تدعنا وما نحن فيه قال : افتحي الباب وإلا

And 'Umar came up and struck the door, then called out: O son of Abi Talib, open the door. Fatima, peace be upon her, said: O 'Umar, what have we to do with you? Will you not leave us and what we are in? He said: Open the door, or
