سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى۝١

1Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High,

ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ۝٢

2Who creates, then makes complete,

وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ۝٣

3And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal),

وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ۝٤

4And Who brings forth herbage,

فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ۝٥

5Then makes it dried up, dust-colored.

سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ۝٦

6We will make you recite so you shall not forget,

إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ۝٧

7Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden.

وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ۝٨

8And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease.

فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ۝٩

9Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit.

سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ۝١٠

10He who fears will mind,

وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى۝١١

11And the most unfortunate one will avoid it,

ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ۝١٢

12Who shall enter the great fire;

ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ۝١٣

13Then therein he shall neither live nor die.

قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ۝١٤

14He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself,

وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ۝١٥

15And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays.

بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا۝١٦

16Nay! you prefer the life of this world,

وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ۝١٧

17While the hereafter is better and more lasting.

إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ۝١٨

18Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures,

صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ۝١٩

19The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa.
