النبإ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ١
1Of what do they ask one another?
عَنِ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ٢
2About the great event,
ٱلَّذِى هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ٣
3About which they differ?
كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ٤
4Nay! they shall soon come to know
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ٥
5Nay! Nay! they shall soon know.
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِهَٰدًا٦
6Have We not made the earth an even expanse?
وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا٧
7And the mountains as projections (thereon)?
وَخَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا٨
8And We created you in pairs,
وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا٩
9And We made your sleep to be rest (to you),
وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا١٠
10And We made the night to be a covering,
وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا١١
11And We made the day for seeking livelihood.
وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا١٢
12And We made above you seven strong ones,
وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا١٣
13And We made a shining lamp,
وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمُعْصِرَٰتِ مَآءً ثَجَّاجًا١٤
14And We send down from the clouds water pouring forth abundantly,
لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبًّا وَنَبَاتًا١٥
15That We may bring forth thereby corn and herbs,
وَجَنَّٰتٍ أَلْفَافًا١٦
16And gardens dense and luxuriant.
إِنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَٰتًا١٧
17Surely the day of decision is (a day) appointed:
يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأْتُونَ أَفْوَاجًا١٨
18The day on which the trumpet shall be blown so you shall come forth in hosts,
وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَٰبًا١٩
19And the heaven shall be opened so that it shall be all openings,
وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا٢٠
20And the mountains shall be moved off so that they shall remain a mere semblance.
إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًا٢١
21Surely hell lies in wait,
لِّلطَّٰغِينَ مَـَٔابًا٢٢
22A place of resort for the inordinate,
لَّٰبِثِينَ فِيهَآ أَحْقَابًا٢٣
23Living therein for ages.
لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًا وَلَا شَرَابًا٢٤
24They shall not taste therein cool nor drink
إِلَّا حَمِيمًا وَغَسَّاقًا٢٥
25But boiling and intensely cold water,
جَزَآءً وِفَاقًا٢٦
26Requital corresponding.
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًا٢٧
27Surely they feared not the account,
وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كِذَّابًا٢٨
28And called Our communications a lie, giving the lie (to the truth).
وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَٰهُ كِتَٰبًا٢٩
29And We have recorded everything in a book,
فَذُوقُوا۟ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا٣٠
30So taste! for We will not add to you aught but chastisement.
إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا٣١
31Surely for those who guard (against evil) is achievement,
حَدَآئِقَ وَأَعْنَٰبًا٣٢
32Gardens and vineyards,
وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًا٣٣
33And voluptuous women of equal age;
وَكَأْسًا دِهَاقًا٣٤
34And a pure cup.
لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا كِذَّٰبًا٣٥
35They shall not hear therein any vain words nor lying.
جَزَآءً مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابًا٣٦
36A reward from your Lord, a gift according to a reckoning:
رَّبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ۖ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًا٣٧
37The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Beneficent Allah, they shall not be able to address Him.
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلرُّوحُ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ صَفًّا ۖ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًا٣٨
38The day on which the spirit and the angels shall stand in ranks; they shall not speak except he whom the Beneficent Allah permits and who speaks the right thing.
ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ مَـَٔابًا٣٩
39That is the sure day, so whoever desires may take refuge with his Lord.
إِنَّآ أَنذَرْنَٰكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيبًا يَوْمَ يَنظُرُ ٱلْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ ٱلْكَافِرُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى كُنتُ تُرَٰبًۢا٤٠
40Surely We have warned you of a chastisement near at hand: the day when man shall see what his two hands have sent before, and the unbeliever shall say: O! would that I were dust!
