Al-Mufaddal said: I asked Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, about the Tafsir of Jabir al-Ju'fi. He said: Do not relate it to the foolish, for they will ruin it. Have you not read in the Book of God: "And when the trumpet is sounded"? Surely there is an Imam of us, the People of the House, behind the veil of occultation; and when God wills him to appear, He will open his heart, and he will appear and establish the command of God.
Elucidation: Perhaps what is meant is that those secrets will be disclosed only at the rising of the Qa'im, peace be upon him, and the lifting of dissimulation. It is also possible that the verse is cited to show how hard those sciences are to grasp — the sciences the Imam of the Age will make manifest — and how hard they weigh upon the unbelievers, as the verse and what follows it indicate.

Basa'ir al-Darajat: Abu Basir and Muhammad b. Muslim related from Abu 'Abd Allah, peace be upon him, that he said: Keep company with people in what they recognise, and keep away from what they do not recognise, and do not bring hardship upon us and upon yourselves. Our cause is hard and hard to bear; none has the strength to carry it but an angel brought near, or a prophet sent with a mission, or a believing servant whose heart God has tested for faith.
