"O you who believe, fulfil your contracts. The [flesh of] cattle has been made lawful for you, except what is recited to you, while you must not hold game lawful in the state of consecration. God commands whatever He wills." "And help one another in righteousness and God-fearing, and do not help one another in sin and transgression." "And whoever is driven by hunger, without being inclined to sin [and eats of what has been forbidden], then God is surely forgiving, merciful." "God does not wish to place you in hardship." "O you who believe, do not hold unlawful the wholesome things that God has made lawful for you, and do not transgress, for God does not love the transgressors. And eat of what God has provided you, lawful and wholesome, and fear God in whom you believe."
"And what is the matter with you that you do not eat of that over which God's name has been pronounced? — while He has set out in detail for you what He has made unlawful for you, except what you are compelled to. And indeed many [people] lead [others] astray through their own desires, out of ignorance. Truly your Lord knows best the transgressors." "And [He produced] of cattle beasts of burden and beasts for wool and fleece. Eat of what God has provided you, and do not follow the footsteps of Satan; truly he is a manifest enemy to you." "Say: In what has been revealed to me I find nothing unlawful for one who eats it, unless it be carrion or spilt blood or the flesh of swine — for these are all filth — or [a sacrifice] over which, in disobedience, a name other than God's has been pronounced [at the slaughter]. Then whoever is compelled [to eat them] without rebellion or excess, truly your Lord is forgiving, merciful."
"And We have certainly established you in the earth and made for you in it means of livelihood; [yet] how little you give thanks." "He said: What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you to prostrate? He said: I am better than he; You created me from fire and created him from clay." "He said: Go down, some of you being enemies to others; and for you on the earth there is a place of settlement and enjoyment for a [fixed] time." "O children of Adam, We have indeed sent down to you clothing that covers your nakedness and is an adornment [for you]; but the best garment is [the garment of] God-fearing. This is among the signs of God's [power], that they may take heed." "Eat and drink, but do not be excessive, for He does not love the extravagant. [O Prophet,] say: Who has forbidden the adornments that God has produced for His servants, and [likewise] the wholesome provisions? Say: These [blessings] are for those who believe in the life of this world and are theirs exclusively on the Day of Resurrection. Thus do We make clear Our verses for a people who know." "And He makes lawful for them the wholesome things and makes unlawful for them the foul things, and removes from them the shackles and bonds that were upon them."
"O you who believe, truly many of the Jewish scholars and the monks consume people's property wrongfully." "And among them are those who hurt the Prophet and say: He is one who listens [to all]. Say: He is a good ear for you; he believes in God and credits [the word of] the believers, and is a mercy for those of you who believe." "And the believing men and the believing women are friends of one another." "There is no blame upon the weak, nor upon the sick, nor upon those who find nothing to spend [in the way of struggle], provided they are sincere toward God and His Messenger; [and likewise] there is no reproach against those who do good, and God is forgiving, merciful." "And it is not fitting for the believers to go forth all together [to fight]. So why does not a party from every group among them go forth, that [some may remain and] gain understanding in religion and warn their people when they return to them, that they may beware [of God's punishment]?"
Ibrahim: "It is God who created the heavens and the earth, and sent down water from the sky, and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you, and made the ship subservient to you so that it may run upon the sea by His command, and made the rivers subservient to you."
"And We have made in it means of livelihood for you and for those for whom you are not providers. And there is nothing whose treasuries are not with Us, and We send it down only in a known measure. And We sent the winds as fertilisers and sent down water from the sky and gave it to you to drink, and you are not its keepers."
