Sa'id b. Munakhkhal relates that what is meant by "the houses" in the verse is the Imams, and what is meant by "the doors" is the doors of those houses.

Tafsir al-'Ayyashi: Jabir related from Imam al-Baqir, peace be upon him, concerning the noble verse "And enter houses by their doors", that he said: Enter every affair by its own way.

'Awali al-La'ali: The Prophet, may God bless him and his family, said: Take knowledge from the mouths of men.

The Prophet, may God bless him and his family, said: Beware of the people of the ledgers, and let the men of mere documents not deceive you.

The Prophet, may God bless him and his family, said: Wisdom is the believer's lost property; he takes it wherever he finds it.

Al-Ghayba of al-Nu'mani: It is related from Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, that he said: Whoever enters this religion by way of men, men will take him out of it just as he entered it; and whoever has entered this religion by way of the Qur'an and the Sunna, the mountains will be torn from their places before he is moved from his.

Al-Ghayba of al-Nu'mani: Al-Mufaddal related from Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, that he said: Whoever serves God in religion without hearing it from a truthful scholar, God will drive his bewilderment to destruction. And whoever claims to hear God's ruling from a gate other than the one God has left open for His creatures is an idolater; and that gate is the trustworthy one entrusted with God's hidden secret.

Al-Ghayba of al-Nu'mani: 'Abd al-'Azim related from al-Mufaddal the like of the hadith above.
