حسين بن علي الرازي و محمد و علي ١ابنا علي بن عبد الصمد النيسابوري و محمد بن ٢الحسن الشوهاني و أبو علي الفضل ٣بن الحسن بن الفضل الطبرسي و أبو جعفر محمد ٤بن علي بن الحسن الحلبي و مسعود ٥بن علي الصوابي و الحسين ٦بن أحمد بن علي بن طحال المقدادي و علي ٧بن شهرآشوب السروي والدي كلهم عن الشيخين المفيدين أبي علي الحسن ٨بن محمد بن الحسن الطوسي و أبي الوفاء عبد الجبار ٩بن علي المقري الرازي عنه.
Husayn b. 'Ali al-Razi; Muhammad and 'Ali (1), the two sons of 'Ali b. 'Abd al-Samad al-Naysaburi; Muhammad b. (2) al-Hasan al-Shawhani; Abu 'Ali al-Fadl (3) b. al-Hasan b. al-Fadl al-Tabrisi; Abu Ja'far Muhammad (4) b. 'Ali b. al-Hasan al-Halabi; Mas'ud (5) b. 'Ali al-Sawabi; al-Husayn (6) b. Ahmad b. 'Ali b. Tahhal al-Miqdadi; and 'Ali (7) b. Shahrashub al-Sarawi, my father — all of them from the two Shaykhs who give benefit: Abu 'Ali al-Hasan (8) b. Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Tusi, and Abu al-Wafa' 'Abd al-Jabbar (9) b. 'Ali al-Muqri' al-Razi, from him.
و حدثنا أيضا المنتهى ١٠بن أبي زيد بن كبابكي الحسيني الجرجاني و محمد ١١بن الحسن الفتال النيسابوري و جدي شهرآشوب عنه أيضا سماعا و قراءة و مناولة و إجازة بأكثر كتبه و رواياته.
And there also related to us al-Muntaha (10) b. Abi Zayd b. Kababaki al-Husayni al-Jurjani, Muhammad (11) b. al-Hasan al-Fattal al-Naysaburi, and my grandfather Shahrashub — from him also, by audition, by recitation, by handing over and by licence — most of his books and his narrations.
و أما أسانيد كتب الشريفين المرتضى و الرضي و رواياتهما فعن السيد أبي الصمصام
As for the chains of the books of the two Sharifs, al-Murtada and al-Radi, and their narrations: from the Sayyid Abu al-Samsam
(١)قال الشيخ منتجب الدين في ترجمة والده: علي بن عبد الصمد التميمي السبزواري فقيه، دين، ثقة، قرأ علي الشيخ ابي جعفر رحمهم اللّٰه. ابنه الشيخ ركن الدين عليّ بن علي فقيه، قرأ على والده و علي الشيخ ابي علي ابن الشيخ ابي جعفر رحمهم اللّٰه.Al-Shaykh Muntajab al-Din said in the entry on his father: 'Ali b. 'Abd al-Samad al-Tamimi al-Sabzawari, a jurist, religious, trustworthy; he studied under al-Shaykh Abu Ja'far, may God have mercy on them. His son, al-Shaykh Rukn al-Din 'Ali b. 'Ali, a jurist; he studied under his father and under al-Shaykh Abu 'Ali, the son of al-Shaykh Abu Ja'far, may God have mercy on them.
(٢)في أمل الآمل: كان عالما ورعا من مشايخ ابن شهرآشوب.In Amal al-Amil: He was learned and scrupulous, one of the masters of Ibn Shahrashub.
(٣)هو امين الإسلام صاحب كتاب مجمع البيان المتقدم ذكره في المقدّمة الثانية.He is Amin al-Islam, the author of the Majma' al-Bayan mentioned above in the second introduction.
(٤)في امل الامل: كان عالما فاضلا ماهرا من مشايخ ابن شهرآشوب.In Amal al-Amil: He was learned, excellent and skilled, one of the masters of Ibn Shahrashub.
(٥)في امل الامل: فاضل جليل من مشايخ ابن شهرآشوب.In Amal al-Amil: Excellent and eminent, one of the masters of Ibn Shahrashub.

(٧)تقدم ترجمته و ترجمة ابيه في المقدّمة الثانية في ترجمة ابنه.His biography, and his father's, have already been given in the second introduction, in the entry on his son.

(٩)اورد ترجمته الشيخ منتجب الدين في فهرسته و قال: الشيخ المفيد عبد الجبار بن عبد اللّٰه ابن علي المقري الرازيّ فقيه الاصحاب بالري، قرأ عليه في زمانه قاطبة المتعلمين من السادة و العلماء، و هو قد قرأ على الشيخ أبو جعفر الطوسيّ جميع تصانيفه، و قرأ على الشيخين: سالار، و ابن البرّاج، و له تصانيف بالعربية و الفارسية في الفقه، اخبرنا بها الشيخ الإمام جمال الدين أبو الفتوح الخزاعيّ رحمهم اللّٰه.Al-Shaykh Muntajab al-Din gave his entry in his Fihrist and said: Al-Shaykh al-Mufid 'Abd al-Jabbar b. 'Abd Allah b. 'Ali al-Muqri' al-Razi, the jurist of the community at Rayy. In his time all the students among the sayyids and the scholars studied under him. He himself studied all his works under al-Shaykh Abu Ja'far al-Tusi, and studied under the two Shaykhs Sallar and Ibn al-Barraj. He has works in Arabic and in Persian on jurisprudence, of which we were informed by al-Shaykh, the Imam, Jamal al-Din Abu al-Futuh al-Khuza'i, may God have mercy on them.
(١٠)في امل الامل: المنتهي بن أبي زيد بن كبابكي الحسيني الكجي الجرجاني عالم، فقيه يروي عن أبيه عن السيّد المرتضي و الرضي و يروي عن الشيخ الطوسيّ.In Amal al-Amil: Al-Muntaha b. Abi Zayd b. Kababaki al-Husayni al-Kajji al-Jurjani, learned, a jurist; he relates from his father, from al-Sayyid al-Murtada and al-Radi, and relates from al-Shaykh al-Tusi.
