و كتاب تحف العقول مرسلا عن الصادق عليه السلام
and the Kitab Tuhaf al-'Uqul, without a chain, from al-Sadiq, peace be upon him.
و أما ما اختصرناه من أسانيد كتب شيخ الطائفة فكلما كان فيه بإسناد أبي قتادة فهو ما رواه أبو علي ابن شيخ الطائفة عن أبيه عن الحسين بن عبيد اللّٰه الغضائري عن أبي محمد هارون بن موسى التلعكبري عن محمد بن همام عن علي بن الحسين الهمداني عن محمد بن خالد البرقي عن أبي قتادة القمي.
As for what we have abbreviated from the chains of the books of the Shaykh of the Community: whatever occurs in it with the chain of Abu Qatada is what Abu 'Ali, the son of the Shaykh of the Community, related from his father, from al-Husayn b. 'Ubayd Allah al-Ghada'iri, from Abu Muhammad Harun b. Musa al-Tal'ukbari, from Muhammad b. Hammam, from 'Ali b. al-Husayn al-Hamadani, from Muhammad b. Khalid al-Barqi, from Abu Qatada al-Qummi.
و كل ما كان فيه بإسناد أخي دعبل فهو ما رواه الشيخ عن هلال بن محمد بن جعفر الحفار قال أخبرنا أبو القاسم إسماعيل بن علي بن الدعبلي قال حدثني أبي أبو الحسن علي بن علي بن دعبل بن رزين بن عثمان بن عبد الرحمن بن عبد اللّٰه بن بديل بن ورقاء أخو دعبل بن علي الخزاعي ببغداد سنة اثنين و سبعين و مائتين قال حدثنا سيدي أبو الحسن علي بن موسى الرضا عليهما السلام بطوس سنة ثمان و تسعين و مائة و فيها رحلنا إليه على طريق البصرة و صادفنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي عليلا فأقمنا عليه أياما و مات عبد الرحمن بن مهدي و حضرنا جنازته و صلى عليه إسماعيل بن جعفر فرحلنا إلى سيدي أنا و أخي دعبل فأقمنا عنده إلى آخر سنة مائتين و خرجنا إلى قم بعد أن خلع سيدي أبو الحسن الرضا عليه السلام على أخي دعبل قميصا خزا أخضر و خاتم فضة عقيقا و دفع إليه دراهم رضوية و قال له يا دعبل صر إلى قم فإنك تفيد بها و قال له احتفظ بهذا القميص فقد صليت فيه ألف ركعة ١و ختمت فيه القرآن ألف ختمة فحدثنا إملاء في رجب سنة ثمان و تسعين و مائة قال حدثني أبي موسى بن جعفر عن آبائه صلوات اللّٰه عليهم أجمعين.
And whatever occurs in it with the chain of the brother of Di'bil is what al-Shaykh related from Hilal b. Muhammad b. Ja'far al-Haffar, who said: There informed us Abu al-Qasim Isma'il b. 'Ali al-Di'bili, who said: There related to me my father Abu al-Hasan 'Ali b. 'Ali b. Di'bil b. Razin b. 'Uthman b. 'Abd al-Rahman b. 'Abd Allah b. Budayl b. Warqa', the brother of Di'bil b. 'Ali al-Khuza'i, at Baghdad in the year two hundred and seventy-two, who said: There related to us my master Abu al-Hasan 'Ali b. Musa al-Rida, peace be upon them both, at Tus in the year one hundred and ninety-eight. In that year we travelled to him by way of Basra, and we came upon 'Abd al-Rahman b. Mahdi ill, so we stayed with him some days; and 'Abd al-Rahman b. Mahdi died, and we attended his funeral, and Isma'il b. Ja'far prayed over him. Then my brother Di'bil and I travelled on to my master and stayed with him until the end of the year two hundred, and we set out for Qum after my master Abu al-Hasan al-Rida, peace be upon him, had bestowed upon my brother Di'bil a green silk shirt and a silver ring set with carnelian, and handed him some Ridawi dirhams and said to him: Di'bil, go to Qum, for you will profit there. And he said to him: Guard this shirt well, for I have prayed a thousand rak'as in it (1) and completed the Qur'an in it a thousand times. He related to us by dictation in Rajab of the year one hundred and ninety-eight. He said: There related to me my father Musa b. Ja'far, from his forefathers, God's blessings be upon them all.
و كل ما كان فيه بإسناد المجاشعي فهو ما رواه الشيخ قال أخبرنا جماعة عن أبي المفضل الشيباني قال حدثنا الفضل بن محمد بن المسيب أبو محمد الشعراني البيهقي بجرجان قال حدثنا هارون بن عمرو بن عبد العزيز بن محمد أبو موسى المجاشعي قال حدثنا محمد بن جعفر بن محمد قال حدثنا أبي أبو عبد اللّٰه عليه السلام قال المجاشعي و حدثنا الرضا علي بن موسى عن أبيه موسى عن أبيه أبي عبد اللّٰه جعفر بن محمد عن آبائه عن علي عليه السلام
And whatever occurs in it with the chain of al-Mujashi'i is what al-Shaykh related. He said: There informed us a group, from Abu al-Mufaddal al-Shaybani, who said: There related to us al-Fadl b. Muhammad b. al-Musayyab Abu Muhammad al-Sha'rani al-Bayhaqi, at Jurjan, who said: There related to us Harun b. 'Amr b. 'Abd al-'Aziz b. Muhammad Abu Musa al-Mujashi'i, who said: There related to us Muhammad b. Ja'far b. Muhammad, who said: There related to us my father Abu 'Abd Allah, peace be upon him. Al-Mujashi'i said: And there related to us al-Rida 'Ali b. Musa, from his father Musa, from his father Abu 'Abd Allah Ja'far b. Muhammad, from his forefathers, from 'Ali, peace be upon him.
