فأما ما اختصرناه من أسناد قرب الإسناد فكل ما كان فيه أبو البختري فقد رواه عن السندي بن محمد البزاز عن أبي البختري وهب بن وهب القرشي.

As for what we have abbreviated from the chains of Qurb al-Isnad: everything in which Abu al-Bakhtari occurs, he has related it from al-Sindi b. Muhammad al-Bazzaz, from Abu al-Bakhtari Wahb b. Wahb al-Qurashi.

و كل ما كان فيه عنهما عن حنان فهما عبد الصمد بن محمد و محمد بن عبد الحميد معا عن حنان بن سدير.

And everything in which "from the two of them, from Hannan" occurs — the two of them are 'Abd al-Samad b. Muhammad and Muhammad b. 'Abd al-Hamid together, from Hannan b. Sadir.

و كل ما كان فيه علي عن أخيه فهو عن عبد اللّٰه بن الحسن العلوي عن جده علي بن جعفر عن أخيه موسى عليه السلام

And everything in which "'Ali, from his brother" occurs — it is from 'Abd Allah b. al-Hasan al-'Alawi, from his grandfather 'Ali b. Ja'far, from his brother Musa, peace be upon him.

و كل ما كان فيه ابن رئاب فهو بهذا الإسناد أحمد و عبد اللّٰه ابنا محمد بن عيسى عن الحسن بن محبوب عن علي بن رئاب.

And everything in which Ibn Ri'ab occurs — it is by this chain: Ahmad and 'Abd Allah, the two sons of Muhammad b. 'Isa, from al-Hasan b. Mahbub, from 'Ali b. Ri'ab.

و كل ما كان فيه عن حماد بن عيسى فهو بهذا الإسناد محمد بن عيسى و الحسن بن ظريف و علي بن إسماعيل كلهم عن حماد بن عيسى البصري الجهني.

And everything in which "from Hammad b. 'Isa" occurs — it is by this chain: Muhammad b. 'Isa, al-Hasan b. Zarif and 'Ali b. Isma'il, all of them from Hammad b. 'Isa al-Basri al-Juhani.

و كل ما كان فيه ابن سعد عن الأزدي فهو أحمد بن إسحاق بن سعد عن بكر بن محمد الأزدي.

And everything in which "Ibn Sa'd, from al-Azdi" occurs — it is Ahmad b. Ishaq b. Sa'd, from Bakr b. Muhammad al-Azdi.

و كل ما كان فيه ابن ظريف عن ابن علوان فهما الحسن بن ظريف و الحسين بن علوان.

And everything in which "Ibn Zarif, from Ibn 'Alwan" occurs — the two of them are al-Hasan b. Zarif and al-Husayn b. 'Alwan.

و أما ما اختصرناه من أسانيد كتب الصدوق فكلما كان في خبر الأعمش فهو بهذا السند المذكور في كتاب الخصال قال حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن الهيثم العجلي و أحمد بن الحسن القطان و محمد بن أحمد السناني و الحسين بن إبراهيم بن أحمد بن هشام المكتب و عبد اللّٰه بن محمد الصائغ و علي بن عبد اللّٰه الوراق رضي اللّٰه عنهم قالوا حدثنا أحمد بن يحيى بن زكريا القطان عن بكر بن عبد اللّٰه بن حبيب عن تميم بن بهلول عن أبي معاوية عن الأعمش عن جعفر بن محمد صلوات اللّٰه عليه.

As for what we have abbreviated from the chains of al-Saduq's books: whatever occurs in the report of al-A'mash is by this chain, mentioned in the Kitab al-Khisal. He said: There related to us Ahmad b. Muhammad b. al-Haytham al-'Ijli, Ahmad b. al-Hasan al-Qattan, Muhammad b. Ahmad al-Sinani, al-Husayn b. Ibrahim b. Ahmad b. Hisham al-Muktib, 'Abd Allah b. Muhammad al-Sa'igh and 'Ali b. 'Abd Allah al-Warraq — may God be pleased with them — who said: There related to us Ahmad b. Yahya b. Zakariyya al-Qattan, from Bakr b. 'Abd Allah b. Habib, from Tamim b. Buhlul, from Abu Mu'awiya, from al-A'mash, from Ja'far b. Muhammad, God's blessings be upon him.

و كل ما كان في خبر ابن سلام فهو بهذا السند الذي أورده الصدوق في كتبه قال حدثنا الحسن بن يحيى بن ضريس قال حدثنا أبي قال حدثنا أبو جعفر عمارة السكري السرياني قال حدثنا إبراهيم بن عاصم بقزوين قال حدثنا عبد اللّٰه بن

And whatever occurs in the report of Ibn Sallam is by this chain, which al-Saduq set down in his books. He said: There related to us al-Hasan b. Yahya b. Durays, who said: There related to us my father, who said: There related to us Abu Ja'far 'Umara al-Sukkari al-Suryani, who said: There related to us Ibrahim b. 'Asim, at Qazwin, who said: There related to us 'Abd Allah b.
