لولا اعتداء رعية * ألقى سياستها الخليفة وسيوف أعداء بها * هاماتنا أبدا نقيفة 26 لنشرت من أسرار آل محمد * جملا طريفة تغنيكم عما رواه * مالك وأبو حنيفة وأريتكم 27 أن الحسين * أصيب في يوم السقيفة ولأي حال لحدت * بالليل فاطمة الشريفة ولما حمت شيخيكم * عن وطي حجرتها المنيفة أوه لبنت محمد * ماتت بغصتها أسيفة 28 روى الشيخ الكليني قدس سره عن أبي بصير قال : قال أبو جعفر عليه السلام : ألا أقرئك وصية فاطمة عليها السلام قال : قلت : بلى ، فأخرج حقا 29 أو سفطا فأخرج منه كتاب ، فقرئه ، بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ، هذا ما أوصت به فاطمة بنت محمد رسول الله صلى عليه وآله أوصت بحوائطها السبعة العواف ، والدلال ، والبرقة ، والميثب ، والحسنى ، والصافية ، وما لأم إبراهيم إلى علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام فإن مضى علي عليه السلام فإلى الحسن ، فإن مضى الحسن فإلى الحسين ، فإن مضى الحسين فإلى الأكبر من ولدي ، شهد الله على ذلك والمقداد بن الأسود والزبير بن العوام ، وكتب علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام 30 .

— Were it not for the aggression of a flock — whose governance the caliph has cast aside, — and the swords of enemies by which — our skulls are forever split, [26] — I would have spread out of the secrets of the Family of Muhammad — rare and choice matters — that would make you need nothing of what Malik — and Abu Hanifa have related, — and I would have shown you [27] that al-Husayn — was struck down on the day of the Saqifa, — and for what cause the noble Fatima — was laid in the niche by night, — and how she kept your two shaykhs — from treading her lofty chamber. — Alas for the daughter of Muhammad: — she died of her anguish, sorrowing. [28] Al-Shaykh al-Kulayni, may his secret be sanctified, related from Abu Basir, who said: Abu Ja'far, peace be upon him, said: Shall I not read to you the bequest of Fatima, peace be upon her? He said: I said: Yes indeed. So he brought out a casket [29] or a chest, and brought out of it a document, and read it: In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate. This is what Fatima, the daughter of Muhammad, the Messenger of God, may He bless him and his Family, has charged. She charged her seven gardens — al-'Awaf, and al-Dalal, and al-Burqa, and al-Maythab, and al-Husna, and al-Safiya, and what belonged to Umm Ibrahim — to 'Ali b. Abi Talib, peace be upon him; and if 'Ali, peace be upon him, passes away, then to al-Hasan; and if al-Hasan passes away, then to al-Husayn; and if al-Husayn passes away, then to the eldest of my children. God bears witness to that, and al-Miqdad b. al-Aswad and al-Zubayr b. al-'Awwam; and 'Ali b. Abi Talib, peace be upon him, wrote it. [30]
