هل رآنا لا نستحق اهتداء * واستحقت تيم الهدى فهداها أم تراه أضلنا في البرايا * بعد علم لكي نصيب خطاها أنصفوني من جائرين أضاعا * حرمة المصطفى وما رعياها عود إلى بدء فأجابها أبو بكر عبد الله بن عثمان ، فقال : يا بنت رسول الله لقد كان أبوك بالمؤمنين عطوفا كريما ، رؤوفا رحيما ، وعلى الكافرين عذابا أليما وعقابا عظيما ، فإن عزوناه وجدناه أباك دون النساء وأخا لبعلك دون الأخلاء 62 ( الإخاء خ ل ) آثره على كل حميم وساعده في كل أمر جسيم ، لا يحبكم إلا كل سعيد ولا يبغضكم إلا كل شقي ، فأنتم عترة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله ، الطيبون والخيرة المنتجبون ، على الخير أدلتنا وإلى الجنة مسالكنا وأنت يا خيرة النساء وابنة خير الأنبياء صادقة في قولك ، سابقة في وفور عقلك ، غير مردودة عن حقك ولا مصدودة عن صدقك .

— Did he see us as not deserving guidance, — while Taym deserved guidance, so He guided them? — Or do you hold that He led us astray among mankind — after knowledge, that we might light upon their error? — Do me justice against two oppressors who wasted — the sanctity of the Chosen One and did not keep it. A return to the beginning: And Abu Bakr 'Abd Allah b. 'Uthman answered her and said: O daughter of the Messenger of God, your father was to the believers tender and noble, kind and merciful, and to the unbelievers a painful torment and a mighty punishment. If we trace him, we find him your father and not the father of the women, and a brother to your husband and not to the other intimates; [62] he preferred him above every close friend and aided him in every weighty affair. None loves you but every blessed one, and none hates you but every wretched one. You are the kindred of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, the goodly, the chosen elect; our guides to good and our paths to the Garden. And you, O best of women and daughter of the best of the prophets, are truthful in your saying, foremost in the abundance of your understanding, not turned back from your right nor barred from your truthfulness.

ووالله ما عدوت رأي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله ولا عملت إلا بإذنه وإن الرائد لا يكذب أهله ! !

And by God, I have not overstepped the opinion of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, nor acted save by his leave; and the scout does not lie to his own people!!

وإني أشهد الله وكفى به شهيدا ، إني سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله يقول : نحن معاشر الأنبياء لا نورث ذهبا ولا فضة ولا دارا ولا عقارا ، وإنما نورث الكتب ( والكتاب خ ل ) والحكمة والعلم والنبوة .

And I call God to witness — and He suffices as a witness — that I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, say: We, the company of prophets, do not leave as inheritance gold nor silver nor house nor estate; we leave as inheritance only the Books and wisdom and knowledge and prophethood.

وما كان لنا من طعمة فلولي الأمر بعدنا أن يحكم فيه بحكمه ، وقد جعلنا ما حاولته في الكراع 63 والسلاح يقاتل به المسلمون ويجاهدون الكفار ويجالدون المردة الفجار وذلك بإجماع من المسلمين ! !

And whatever we had of sustenance, it is for the holder of the affair after us to judge concerning it by his own judgement. And we have set what you seek to the mounts [63] and the arms with which the Muslims fight and strive against the unbelievers and contend with the rebellious and the wicked; and that was by the agreement of the Muslims!!

لم أنفرد به وحدي ولم أستبد بما كان الرأي فيه عندي وهذه حالي ومالي ، هي لك وبين يديك ! ! ! لا نزوي عنك ولا
