فصل [ بعث أبي بكر في إخراج وكيل فاطمة ( ع ) من فدك ] روى صاحب الاحتجاج والشيخ الأجل علي بن إبراهيم القمي ، عن حماد بن عثمان ، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال : لما بويع أبو بكر واستقام له الأمر على جميع المهاجرين والأنصار ، بعث إلى فدك من أخرج وكيل فاطمة بنت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله [ منها ] .

Section [Abu Bakr's sending to remove Fatima's agent, peace be upon her, from Fadak]. The author of al-Ihtijaj and the most noble shaykh 'Ali b. Ibrahim al-Qummi related, from Hammad b. 'Uthman, from Abu 'Abd Allah, peace be upon him, who said: When Abu Bakr was pledged to, and the affair was settled for him over all the Emigrants and the Ansar, he sent to Fadak one who removed from it the agent of Fatima, the daughter of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family.

فجائت فاطمة عليها السلام إلى أبي بكر فقالت : يا أبا بكر ، لم تمنعني ميراثي من أبي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله ، وأخرجت وكيلي من فدك ، وقد جعلها لي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله بأمر الله تعالى فقال : هاتي على ذلك بشهود ، فجائت بأم أيمن ، فقالت : لا أشهد يا أبا بكر حتى احتج عليك بما قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله ، [ فقالت ] أنشدك بالله ألست تعلم أن رسول الله قال : إن أم أيمن امرأة من أهل الجنة ؟

So Fatima, peace be upon her, came to Abu Bakr and said: O Abu Bakr, why have you barred me from my inheritance from my father, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, and removed my agent from Fadak, when the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, assigned it to me by the command of God, exalted? He said: Bring witnesses to that. So she brought Umm Ayman, and she said: I shall not testify, O Abu Bakr, until I have argued against you with what the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, said. [She said:] I adjure you by God — do you not know that the Messenger of God said: Umm Ayman is a woman of the people of the Garden?

فقال : بلى ، قالت : فأشهد أن الله عز وجل أوحى إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله * ( فآت ذا القربى حقه ) * 1 فجعل فدك لفاطمة بأمر الله وجاء علي عليه السلام فشهد بمثل ذلك ، فكتب لها كتابا ودفعه إليها . فدخل عمر ، فقال : ما هذا الكتاب ؟

He said: Yes indeed. She said: Then I bear witness that God, mighty and exalted, revealed to His Messenger, may God bless him and his Family: “So give the near of kin his right”; [1] and he assigned Fadak to Fatima by the command of God. And 'Ali, peace be upon him, came and testified to the like of that. So he wrote her a document and handed it to her. Then 'Umar entered and said: What is this document?

فقال : [ أبو بكر ] : إن فاطمة عليها السلام

So [Abu Bakr] said: Fatima, peace be upon her,
