وَٱلذَّٰرِيَٰتِ ذَرْوًا۝١

1I swear by the wind that scatters far and wide,

فَٱلْحَٰمِلَٰتِ وِقْرًا۝٢

2Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space).

فَٱلْجَٰرِيَٰتِ يُسْرًا۝٣

3Then those (ships) that glide easily,

فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَٰتِ أَمْرًا۝٤

4Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command;

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ۝٥

5What you are threatened with is most surely true,

وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٌ۝٦

6And the judgment must most surely come about.

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْحُبُكِ۝٧

7I swear by the heaven full of ways.

إِنَّكُمْ لَفِى قَوْلٍ مُّخْتَلِفٍ۝٨

8Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say,

يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ۝٩

9He is turned away from it who would be turned away.

قُتِلَ ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَ۝١٠

10Cursed be the liars,

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ۝١١

11Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful;

يَسْـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ۝١٢

12They ask: When is the day of judgment?

يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ۝١٣

13(It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire.

ذُوقُوا۟ فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ۝١٤

14Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on.

إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ۝١٥

15Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains.

ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ۝١٦

16Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good.

كَانُوا۟ قَلِيلًا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ۝١٧

17They used to sleep but little in the night.

وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ۝١٨

18And in the morning they asked forgiveness.

وَفِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ۝١٩

19And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good).

وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ءَايَٰتٌ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ۝٢٠

20And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure,

وَفِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ ۚ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ۝٢١

21And in your own souls (too); will you not then see?

وَفِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ۝٢٢

22And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with.

فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ۝٢٣

23And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak.

هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ۝٢٤

24Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim?

إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَٰمًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَٰمٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ۝٢٥

25When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people.

فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ۝٢٦

26Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf,

فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ۝٢٧

27So he brought it near them. He said: What! will you not eat?

فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٍ۝٢٨

28So he conceived in his mind a fear on account of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge.

فَأَقْبَلَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ فِى صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ۝٢٩

29Then his wife came up in great grief, and she struck her face and said: An old barren woman!

قَالُوا۟ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ۝٣٠

30They said: Thus says your Lord: Surely He is the Wise, the Knowing.

قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ۝٣١

31He said: What is your affair then, O apostles!

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ۝٣٢

32They said: Surely we are sent to a guilty people,

لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن طِينٍ۝٣٣

33That we may send down upon them stone of clay,

مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ۝٣٤

34Sent forth from your Lord for the extravagant.

فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ۝٣٥

35Then We brought forth such as were therein of the believers.

فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ۝٣٦

36But We did not find therein save a (single) house of those who submitted (the Muslims).

وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ۝٣٧

37And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment.

وَفِى مُوسَىٰٓ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ۝٣٨

38And in Musa: When We sent him to Firon with clear authority.

فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَٰحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ۝٣٩

39But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man.

فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ۝٤٠

40So We seized him and his hosts and hurled them into the sea and he was blamable.

وَفِى عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلْعَقِيمَ۝٤١

41And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind.

مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَىْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ۝٤٢

42It did not leave aught on which it blew, but it made it like ashes.

وَفِى ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ۝٤٣

43And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while.

فَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ۝٤٤

44But they revolted against the commandment of their Lord, so the rumbling overtook them while they saw.

فَمَا ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟ مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنتَصِرِينَ۝٤٥

45So they were not able to rise up, nor could they defend themselves-

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَٰسِقِينَ۝٤٦

46And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people.

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا بِأَيْي۟دٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ۝٤٧

47And the heaven, We raised it high with power, and most surely We are the makers of things ample.

وَٱلْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَٰهَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَٰهِدُونَ۝٤٨

48And the earth, We have made it a wide extent; how well have We then spread (it) out.

وَمِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ۝٤٩

49And of everything We have created pairs that you may be mindful.

فَفِرُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ۝٥٠

50Therefore fly to Allah, surely I am a plain warner to you from Him.

وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ۝٥١

51And do not set up with Allah another god: surely I am a plain warner to you from Him.

كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا۟ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ۝٥٢

52Thus there did not come to those before them an apostle but they said: A magician or a mad man.

أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ۝٥٣

53Have they charged each other with this? Nay! they are an inordinate people.

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍ۝٥٤

54Then turn your back upon them for you are not to blame;

وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ۝٥٥

55And continue to remind, for surely the reminder profits the believers.

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ۝٥٦

56And I have not created the jinn and the men except that they should serve Me.

مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ۝٥٧

57I do not desire from them any sustenance and I do not desire that they should feed Me.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلْقُوَّةِ ٱلْمَتِينُ۝٥٨

58Surely Allah is the Bestower of sustenance, the Lord of Power, the Strong.

فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذَنُوبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَٰبِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ۝٥٩

59So surely those who are unjust shall have a portion like the portion of their companions, therefore let them not ask Me to hasten on.

فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن يَوْمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ۝٦٠

60Therefore woe to those who disbelieve because of their day which they are threatened with.
