تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ۝١

1Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish.

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ۝٢

2His wealth and what he earns will not avail him.

سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ۝٣

3He shall soon burn in fire that flames,

وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ۝٤

4And his wife, the bearer of fuel,

فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ۝٥

5Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope.
