«12»- مع، معاني الأخبار النَّقَّاشُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ الْكُوفِيِّ عَنِ الْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عليهما السلام عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عليهما السلام قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللّٰه عليه و آله بَادِرُوا إِلَى رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ فَقَالُوا وَ مَا رِيَاضُ الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ حَلَقُ الذِّكْرِ.

«12»- m', Ma'ani al-Akhbar: al-Naqqash, from Ahmad al-Kufi, from al-Mundhir b. Muhammad, from his father, who said: There related to me Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. 'Ali b. al-Hasan b. 'Ali b. Abi Talib, peace be upon them both, from his father, from his father, from al-Hasan b. 'Ali b. Abi Talib, peace be upon them both, who said: The Messenger of God — may God bless him and his family — said: Hasten to the meadows of the Garden. They said: And what are the meadows of the Garden? He said: The circles of remembrance.

إيضاح: حلق الذكر المجالس التي يذكر اللّٰه فيها على قانون الشرع و يذكر فيها علوم أهل البيت عليهم السلام و فضائلهم و مجالس الوعظ التي يذكر فيها وعده و وعيده لا المجالس المبتدعة المخترعة التي يعصى اللّٰه فيها فإنها مجالس الغفلة لا حلق الذكر.

Clarification: the circles of remembrance are the gatherings in which God is remembered according to the rule of the sacred law, and in which the sciences of the People of the House, peace be upon them, and their excellences are mentioned; and the gatherings of admonition in which His promise and His threat are mentioned — not the innovated, invented gatherings in which God is disobeyed, for those are gatherings of heedlessness, not circles of remembrance.

«13»- مع، معاني الأخبار لي، الأمالي للصدوق فِي كَلِمَاتِ النَّبِيِّ صلى اللّٰه عليه و آله بِرِوَايَةِ الصَّادِقِ عليه السلام أَحْكَمُ النَّاسِ مَنْ فَرَّ مِنْ جُهَّالِ النَّاسِ وَ أَسْعَدُ النَّاسِ مَنْ خَالَطَ كِرَامَ النَّاسِ-.

«13»- m', Ma'ani al-Akhbar; li, the Amali of al-Saduq: among the words of the Prophet — may God bless him and his family — in the narration of al-Sadiq, peace be upon him: The wisest of people is he who flees from the ignorant of people; and the most felicitous of people is he who mixes with the noble of people.

«14»- غو، غوالي اللئالي رُوِيَ عَنِ الصَّادِقِ عليه السلام أَنَّهُ قَالَ: تَلَاقَوْا وَ تَحَادَثُوا الْعِلْمَ فَإِنَّ بِالْحَدِيثِ تُجْلَى الْقُلُوبُ الرَّائِنَةُ وَ بِالْحَدِيثِ إِحْيَاءُ أَمْرِنَا فَرَحِمَ اللَّهُ مَنْ أَحْيَا أَمْرَنَا.

«14»- ghw, Ghawali al-La'ali: It is related from al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, that he said: Meet one another and converse together of knowledge; for by the report the rusted hearts are polished, and by the report is the reviving of our cause. So God have mercy upon one who revives our cause.

بيان: قال الجوهري الرين الطبع و الدنس يقال ران على قلبه ذنبه يرين رينا و ريونا أي غلب.

Elucidation: al-Jawhari said: al-rayn is the film and the stain. One says: rana 'ala qalbihi dhanbuhu yarinu raynan wa-ruyunan — that is, it overcame it.

«15»- غو، غوالي اللئالي رَوَى عِدَّةٌ مِنَ الْمَشَايِخِ بِطَرِيقٍ صَحِيحٍ عَنِ الصَّادِقِ عليه السلام أَنَّهُ قَالَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ يَقُولُ لِمَلَائِكَتِهِ عِنْدَ انْصِرَافِ أَهْلِ مَجَالِسِ الذِّكْرِ وَ الْعِلْمِ إِلَى مَنَازِلِهِمْ اكْتُبُوا ثَوَابَ مَا شَاهَدْتُمُوهُ مِنْ أَعْمَالِهِمْ فَيَكْتُبُونَ لِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ ثَوَابَ عَمَلِهِ وَ يَتْرُكُونَ بَعْضَ مَنْ حَضَرَ مَعَهُمْ فَلَا يَكْتُبُونَهُ فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مَا لَكُمْ لَمْ تَكْتُبُوا فُلَاناً أَ لَيْسَ كَانَ مَعَهُمْ وَ قَدْ شَهِدَهُمْ فَيَقُولُونَ يَا رَبِّ إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَشْرَكْ مَعَهُمْ بِحَرْفٍ وَ لَا تَكَلَّمَ مَعَهُمْ بِكَلِمَةٍ فَيَقُولُ الْجَلِيلُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ أَ لَيْسَ كَانَ جَلِيسَهُمْ فَيَقُولُونَ بَلَى يَا رَبِّ فَيَقُولُ اكْتُبُوهُ مَعَهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَا يَشْقَى بِهِمْ جَلِيسُهُمْ فَيَكْتُبُونَهُ مَعَهُمْ فَيَقُولُ تَعَالَى اكْتُبُوا لَهُ ثَوَاباً مِثْلَ ثَوَابِ أَحَدِهِمْ.

«15»- ghw, Ghawali al-La'ali: A number of the shaykhs related, by a sound path, from al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, that he said: Indeed God, mighty and majestic, says to His angels, when the people of the gatherings of remembrance and of knowledge disperse to their dwellings: Write the reward of what you have witnessed of their deeds. So they write for each one the reward of his deed, and they leave out some of those who were present with them and do not write him. And God, mighty and majestic, says: What is with you that you have not written so-and-so? Was he not with them, and did he not attend them? And they say: O Lord, he did not share with them by a letter, nor did he speak with them a word. And the Majestic, majestic be His majesty, says: Was he not their sitting-companion? And they say: Yes, O Lord. And He says: Write him with them; they are a people whose sitting-companion is not made wretched by them. So they write him with them. And He, exalted be He, says: Write for him a reward like the reward of one of them.

بيان: قوله عليه السلام لا يشقى بهم جليسهم أي ببركتهم لا يخيب جليسهم عن كرامتهم فيشقى أو إن صحبتهم مؤثرة في الجليس فاستحق بسبب ذلك الثواب و السعادة.

Elucidation: his words, peace be upon him, "their sitting-companion is not made wretched by them" — that is, by their blessing their sitting-companion is not disappointed of their honour so as to be made wretched; or that their company has an effect upon the sitting-companion, so that he merits by reason of that the reward and the felicity.

«16»- غو، غوالي اللئالي قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى اللّٰه عليه و آله تَذَاكَرُوا وَ تَلَاقَوْا وَ تَحَدَّثُوا فَإِنَّ الْحَدِيثَ جِلَاءٌ

«16»- ghw, Ghawali al-La'ali: The Prophet — may God bless him and his family — said: Discuss together, and meet one another, and converse; for the report is a polishing
