«5»- l, al-Khisal: my father, from 'Ali, from his father, from Hammad b. 'Isa, from one whom he mentioned, from Abu 'Abd Allah, peace be upon him, who said: The Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, said in his testament to his son Muhammad b. al-Hanafiyya: And know that the manliness of the Muslim man is two manlinesses: a manliness at home and a manliness on a journey. As for the manliness of home, it is the reciting of the Qur'an, and the keeping company with the scholars, and the looking into jurisprudence, and the guarding of the prayer in congregations. And as for the manliness of the journey, it is the giving of provision, and fewness of dispute with the one who accompanies you, and much remembrance of God, mighty and majestic, at every ascent and descent and halting and standing and sitting.

Faddal, from his father, who said: al-Rida, peace be upon him, said: Whoever recalls our affliction and weeps and makes others weep, his eye will not weep on the day when eyes weep; and whoever sits in a gathering in which our cause is revived, his heart will not die on the day when hearts die.
بيان: موت القلوب في القيامة كناية عن شدة الدهشة و الغم و الحزن و الخوف.
Elucidation: the death of hearts at the Resurrection is a metaphor for the intensity of dismay and grief and sorrow and fear.

Muhammad, peace be upon them both, who said: I heard him saying to Khaythama (1): O Khaythama, convey to our friends the greeting of peace, and enjoin upon them the fear of God the Great, mighty and majestic; and that their living should attend the funerals of their dead, and that they should meet one another in their houses — for their meeting is the life of our cause. He said: then he, peace be upon him, raised his hand and said: God have mercy upon a man who revives our cause.

«8»- ma, the Amali of al-Shaykh al-Tusi: al-Mufid, from Ibn Qulawayh, from al-Qasim b. Muhammad, from 'Ali b. Ibrahim, from his father, from his grandfather, from 'Abd Allah b. Hammad al-Ansari, from Jamil b. Darraj, from Mu'attib, the client of Abu 'Abd Allah, peace be upon him, who said: I heard him saying to Dawud b. Sirhan: O Dawud, convey from me to my friends the greeting of peace, and that I say: God have mercy upon a servant who gathers with another and they discuss our cause; for the third of them is an angel who seeks forgiveness for them both. And no two gather upon the mention of us but that God the Exalted boasts of them both to the angels. So when you gather, occupy yourselves with the remembrance; for in your gathering and your discussion is our reviving. And the best of people after us is he who discusses our cause and calls to the mention of us.
