peace be upon him, who said: The Messenger of God — may God bless him and his family — said: Learn knowledge — the report.
Except that in it, in place of "with God for its people", is "the bestowing of it upon its people"; and after his words "in solitude", "and an indication in prosperity and in adversity"; and after his words "in their prayers", "and there seeks forgiveness for them everything, even the fish of the seas and their creeping things, and the beasts of the land and its cattle"; and in place of al-abrar, al-akhyar, and in place of al-akhyar, al-abrar. I say: the like of that has been related in f from the Prophet, may God bless him and his family. Elucidation: it is said ramaqtuhu — that is, I looked at him; that is, people look at their deeds so as to follow them as examples. And "the light of eyes" — that is, the eyes of hearts. And "the strength of bodies" — since by knowledge and certainty the limbs are strengthened for action.
