both of them by the eminent Shaykh Zayn al-Din 'Ali b. Muhammad b. Yunus al-Bayadi.

و كتاب منتخب البصائر للشيخ الفاضل حسن بن سليمان تلميذ الشهيد رحمه اللّٰه انتخبه من كتاب البصائر لسعد بن عبد اللّٰه بن أبي خلف و ذكر فيه من الكتب الأخرى مع تصريحه بأساميها لئلا يشتبه ما يأخذه عن كتاب سعد بغيره و كتاب المحتضر و كتاب الرجعة له أيضا.

And the Book of Muntakhab al-Basa'ir, by the eminent Shaykh Hasan b. Sulayman, student of al-Shahid, God have mercy on him. He selected it from the Book of al-Basa'ir of Sa'd b. 'Abd Allah b. Abi Khalaf, and included in it material from other books while naming them explicitly, so that what he took from Sa'd's book should not be confused with anything else. And the Book of al-Muhtadar and the Book of al-Raj'a are likewise his.

و كتاب السرائر للشيخ الفاضل الثقة العلامة محمد بن إدريس الحلي و قد أورد في آخر ذلك الكتاب بابا مشتملا على الأخبار و ذكر أني استطرفته من كتب المشيخة المصنفين و الرواة المحصلين و يذكر اسم صاحب الكتاب و يورد بعده الأخبار المنتزعة من كتابه و فيه أخبار غريبة و فوائد جليلة.

And the Book of al-Sara'ir, by the eminent, trustworthy and learned Shaykh Muhammad b. Idris al-Hilli. At the end of that book he set down a chapter containing reports, saying: "I have culled it from the books of the compiling shaykhs and the accomplished transmitters." He gives the name of the author of each book and then sets down the reports extracted from it; in it are rare reports and eminent benefits.

و كتاب إرشاد القلوب و كتاب أعلام الدين في صفات المؤمنين و كتاب غرر الأخبار و درر الآثار كلها للشيخ العارف أبي محمد الحسن بن محمد الديلمي.

And the Book of Irshad al-Qulub; the Book of A'lam al-Din fi Sifat al-Mu'minin; and the Book of Ghurar al-Akhbar wa Durar al-Athar — all of them by the gnostic Shaykh Abu Muhammad al-Hasan b. Muhammad al-Daylami.

و الكتاب العتيق الذي وجدناه في الغري صلوات اللّٰه على مشرفه تأليف بعض قدماء المحدثين في الدعوات و سميناه بالكتاب الغروي.

And the ancient book which we found at al-Ghari, God's blessings be upon him who ennobles it, the composition of one of the early traditionists on supplications, which we have named the Ghurawi Book.

و كتابا معرفة الرجال و الفهرست للشيخين الفاضلين الثقتين محمد بن عمر بن عبد العزيز الكشي و أحمد بن علي بن أحمد النجاشي.

And the two books Ma'rifat al-Rijal and al-Fihrist, by the two eminent and trustworthy Shaykhs, Muhammad b. 'Umar b. 'Abd al-'Aziz al-Kashshi and Ahmad b. 'Ali b. Ahmad al-Najashi.

و كتاب بشارة المصطفى لشيعة المرتضى للشيخ الفقيه العماد محمد بن أبي القاسم علي الطبري.

And the Book of Bisharat al-Mustafa li-Shi'at al-Murtada, by the jurist Shaykh al-'Imad Muhammad b. Abi al-Qasim 'Ali al-Tabari.

و أصل من أصول عمدة المحدثين الشيخ الثقة الحسين بن سعيد الأهوازي و كتاب الزهد و كتاب المؤمن له أيضا و يظهر من بعض مواضع الكتاب الأول أنه كتاب النوادر لأحمد بن محمد بن عيسى القمي و على التقديرين في غاية الاعتبار و كتاب العيون و المحاسن للشيخ علي بن محمد الواسطي.

And a primary work among the primary works of the pillar of the traditionists, the trustworthy Shaykh al-Husayn b. Sa'id al-Ahwazi; and the Book of al-Zuhd and the Book of al-Mu'min, likewise his. From certain places in the first book it appears that it is the Book of al-Nawadir of Ahmad b. Muhammad b. 'Isa al-Qummi; on either supposition it is of the utmost reliability. And the Book of al-'Uyun wa'l-Mahasin, by the Shaykh 'Ali b. Muhammad al-Wasiti.

و كتاب غرر الحكم و درر الكلم للشيخ عبد الواحد بن محمد بن عبد الواحد الآمدي.

And the Book of Ghurar al-Hikam wa Durar al-Kalim, by the Shaykh 'Abd al-Wahid b. Muhammad b. 'Abd al-Wahid al-Amidi.

و كتاب جنة الأمان الواقية المشتهر بالمصباح للشيخ العالم الفاضل الكامل

And the Book of Jannat al-Aman al-Waqiya, well known as al-Misbah, by the learned, eminent and accomplished Shaykh
