«2»- m', Ma'ani al-Akhbar: my father, from 'Ali b. Ibrahim, from Muhammad b. 'Isa, from Ibn Abi 'Umayr, from Yazid al-Razzaz, from Abu 'Abd Allah, peace be upon him, who said: Abu Ja'far, peace be upon him, said: My son, know the ranks of the Shi'a according to the measure of their narration and their knowledge; for knowledge is the discernment of the narration, and by discernments of narrations the believer rises to the furthest degrees of faith. I looked into a book of 'Ali, peace be upon him, and found in the book that the worth of every man and his measure is his knowledge. God, blessed and exalted, calls people to account according to the measure of what He has given them of intellects in the abode of this world.

«3»- sn, al-Mahasin: al-Husayn b. 'Ali b. Yaqtin, from Muhammad b. Sinan, from Abu al-Jarud, from Abu Ja'far, peace be upon him, who said: God is exacting with the servants in the reckoning on the Day of Resurrection only according to the measure of what He has given them of intellects in this world.
«4»- sn, al-Mahasin: Muhammad al-Barqi, from Sulayman b. Ja'far al-Ja'fari, raising it, said: The Messenger of God — may God bless him and his family — said: We, the company of prophets, speak to people according to the measure of their intellects.

Chapter 4: The signs of the intellect and its hosts
«1»- l, al-Khisal: my father, from Sa'd, from al-Barqi, from his father, raising it, said: The Messenger of God — may God bless him and his family — said: The intellect is apportioned into three parts. Whoever has them in him, his intellect is complete; and whoever does not have them in him has no intellect: goodness of knowledge of God, Almighty and Glorious; goodness of obedience to Him; and goodness of patience upon His command.
Elucidation: perhaps the counting of these things — which are among the effects of the intellect — as its parts is by way of hyperbole
