فصل ( في " رواية رواها ابن أبي الحديد " ) روى ابن أبي الحديد من كتاب السقيفة بإسناده إلى أبي جعفر باقر عليه السلام أن عليا حمل فاطمة صلوات الله عليهما على حمار وسار بها ليلا إلى بيوت الأنصار يسئلهم النصرة وتسئلهم فاطمة الانتصار ، فكانوا يقولون : يا بنت رسول الله ، قد مضت بيعتنا لهذا الرجل ، لو كان ابن عمك سبق إلينا أبا بكر ما عدلناه به فقال علي عليه السلام : أكنت أترك رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله ميتا في بيته لا أجهزة وأخرج إلى الناس أنازعهم في سلطانه ، وقالت فاطمة : ما صنع أبو الحسن إلا ما كان ينبغي له ، وصنعوا هم ما الله حسيبهم عليه 1 ، وقال أيضا : ومن كلام معاوية ، المشهور إلى علي عليه السلام : وعهدك أمس تحمل قعيدة بيتك ليلا على حمار ويداك في يدي ابنيك الحسن والحسين يوم بويع أبو بكر ، فلم تدع أحدا من أهل بدر والسوابق إلا دعوتهم إلى نفسك ، ومشيت إليهم بامرأتك ، وأدليت إليهم بابنيك ، واستنفرتهم 2 على صاحب رسول الله ! ! !
Section (on a report related by Ibn Abi al-Hadid). Ibn Abi al-Hadid related, from the Book of the Saqifa, with his chain to Abu Ja'far al-Baqir, peace be upon him, that 'Ali carried Fatima, the blessings of God be upon them both, upon a donkey and went with her by night to the houses of the Ansar, asking them for help and Fatima asking them for support. And they would say: O daughter of the Messenger of God, our pledge to this man has already passed; had your cousin come to us before Abu Bakr, we would not have held any equal to him. 'Ali, peace be upon him, said: Was I to leave the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his Family, dead in his house, without preparing him for burial, and go out to the people to contend with them over his rule? And Fatima said: Abu al-Hasan did nothing but what was fitting for him; and they did what God will reckon against them. [1] And he also said: And of the well-known speech of Mu'awiya to 'Ali, peace be upon him: And it was only yesterday that you carried the mistress of your house by night upon a donkey, your two hands in the hands of your two sons al-Hasan and al-Husayn, on the day Abu Bakr was pledged to; and you left not one of the people of Badr nor of those foremost in Islam without calling them to yourself, and you walked to them with your wife, and you brought your two sons near to them, and you called them out [2] against the companion of the Messenger of God!!!
فلم يجبك منهم إلا أربعة أو خمسة ، ولعمري لو كنت محقا لأجابوك ، ولكنك ادعيت باطلا ، وقلت ما لا يعرف ،
Yet not one of them answered you save four or five. And by my life, had you been in the right they would have answered you; but you claimed a falsehood, and said what is not known,
