أخبرنا أبو الحسن محمد بن سليمان بن الربيع بن هشام الهندي الخزاز قال أخبرنا أبو الفضل نصر بن مزاحم التميمي و لعل هذا من سند العامة لأنهم أيضا أسندوا إليه و روي عنه ابن أبي الحديد في شرح نهج البلاغة أحاديث كثيرة و قال هو في نفسه ثبت صحيح النقل غير منسوب إلى هوى و لا إدغال و هو من رجال أصحاب الحديث انتهى و أخرجنا في كتاب الفتن أكثر أخباره من الشرح المذكور لتكون حجة على المخالفين.
There informed us Abu al-Hasan Muhammad b. Sulayman b. al-Rabi' b. Hisham al-Hindi al-Khazzaz, who said: There informed us Abu al-Fadl Nasr b. Muzahim al-Tamimi. Perhaps this is from a chain of the wider community, since they too have transmitted through him; Ibn Abi al-Hadid related many traditions from him in his commentary on the Nahj al-Balagha, and said: He is in himself reliable, sound in transmission, not ascribed to partisanship nor to corruption, and he is among the men of the people of hadith — end of quotation. And we have extracted most of his reports in the Kitab al-Fitan from the said commentary, so that they may be a proof against those who differ.
و أما أسانيد أصحابنا إليه فهي مذكورة في كتب الرجال و وجدت في ظهر كتاب المقتضب ما هذه صورته أخبرني به الشيخ الإمام العالم نجم الدين أبو محمد عبد اللّٰه بن جعفر بن محمد بن موسى عن جده محمد بن موسى بن جعفر عن جده جعفر بن محمد بن أحمد بن العياش الدوريستي عن الحسن بن محمد بن إسماعيل بن أشناس البزاز عن مصنفه أبي عبد اللّٰه أحمد بن محمد بن عياش.
As for the chains of our companions to him, they are mentioned in the books of rijal. And I found on the back of the Kitab al-Muqtadab what runs thus: There informed me of it the Shaykh, the Imam, the learned, Najm al-Din Abu Muhammad 'Abd Allah b. Ja'far b. Muhammad b. Musa, from his grandfather Muhammad b. Musa b. Ja'far, from his grandfather Ja'far b. Muhammad b. Ahmad b. al-'Ayyash al-Duristi, from al-Hasan b. Muhammad b. Isma'il b. Ashnas al-Bazzaz, from its compiler Abu 'Abd Allah Ahmad b. Muhammad b. 'Ayyash.
و كان في مفتتح كتاب ابن الخشاب أخبرنا السيد العالم الفقيه صفي الدين أبو جعفر محمد بن معد الموسوي في العشر الأخير من صفر سنة ست عشرة و ستمائة قال أخبرنا الأجل العالم زين الدين أبو العز أحمد بن أبي المظفر محمد بن عبد اللّٰه بن محمد بن جعفر قراءة عليه فأقر به و ذلك في آخر نهار يوم الخميس ثامن صفر من السنة المذكورة بمدينة السلام بدرب الدواب قال أخبرنا الشيخ الإمام العالم الأوحد حجة الإسلام أبو محمد عبد اللّٰه بن أحمد بن أحمد بن أحمد بن الخشاب قال قرأت على الشيخ أبي منصور محمد بن عبد الملك بن الحسن المقري يوم السبت الخامس و العشرين من محرم سنة إحدى و ثلاثين و خمسمائة من أصله بخط عمه أبي الفضل أحمد بن الحسن و سماعه منه فيه بخط عمه في يوم الجمعة سادس عشر شعبان من سنة أربع و ثمانين و أربعمائة أخبركم أبو الفضل أحمد بن الحسن فأقر به قال أخبرنا أبو علي الحسن بن الحسين بن العباس بن الفضل قراءة عليه و أنا أسمع في رجب سنة ثمان و عشرين و أربعمائة قال أخبرنا أحمد بن نصر بن عبد اللّٰه بن الفتح زارع النهروان بها قراءة عليه و أنا أسمع في سنة خمس و ستين و ثلاثمائة قال حدثنا حرب بن أحمد المؤدب قال حدثنا
And at the opening of the book of Ibn al-Khashshab was: There informed us the Sayyid, the learned, the jurist, Safi al-Din Abu Ja'far Muhammad b. Ma'add al-Musawi, in the last ten days of Safar of the year six hundred and sixteen. He said: There informed us the most eminent, the learned, Zayn al-Din Abu al-'Izz Ahmad b. Abi al-Muzaffar Muhammad b. 'Abd Allah b. Muhammad b. Ja'far, by recitation to him, and he acknowledged it — that being at the close of the day of Thursday, the eighth of Safar of the said year, in the City of Peace, at Darb al-Dawabb. He said: There informed us the Shaykh, the Imam, the learned, the peerless, Hujjat al-Islam Abu Muhammad 'Abd Allah b. Ahmad b. Ahmad b. Ahmad b. al-Khashshab. He said: I recited to the Shaykh Abu Mansur Muhammad b. 'Abd al-Malik b. al-Hasan al-Muqri' on Saturday the twenty-fifth of Muharram of the year five hundred and thirty-one, from his original in the hand of his uncle Abu al-Fadl Ahmad b. al-Hasan, his audition of it from him being recorded therein in his uncle's hand on Friday the sixteenth of Sha'ban of the year four hundred and eighty-four: There informed you Abu al-Fadl Ahmad b. al-Hasan — and he acknowledged it. He said: There informed us Abu 'Ali al-Hasan b. al-Husayn b. al-'Abbas b. al-Fadl, by recitation to him while I listened, in Rajab of the year four hundred and twenty-eight. He said: There informed us Ahmad b. Nasr b. 'Abd Allah b. al-Fath, the cultivator of Nahrawan, there, by recitation to him while I listened, in the year three hundred and sixty-five. He said: There related to us Harb b. Ahmad al-Mu'addib, who said: There related to us
